{ Laken }

We pulled onto the gravel road that leads to the small cabin Ashton got for us for our little weekend trip. There was another car in front of us so we were hoping they knew where to go since we were just following them.

From what I gathered, this place we are going is a lake that had a bunch of tiny, one bedroom, cabins around it.

Ashton pulled off and parked by the offices to the place,

"I'll run inside and check in" he kissed me quickly and hopped out of the truck.

I was excited for this little weekend. Ashton and I have never done anything like this. I mean, we've been together for a year, but usually our friends are with us too. But Ashton and I need time for the two of us too. And now we're having a baby and need each other more than ever.

Ashton got back in the car and handed me a folder and a key. He put something in the windshield then backed out onto the gravel road again,

"We have cabin 16. It's over on the other side" he told me. I nodded as he drove with both hands on the wheel, due to the crazy uneven path. It was actually making me a little nauseous.

We pulled up in front of our cabin and the two of us got out. I carried our two backpacks in while Ashton brought the groceries we got for the weekend inside.

I wondered through the small space and found the bedroom. It was small but perfect for the short weekend.

Ashton entered with the bedding. It was required that we brought our own linens and towels. We made up the bed then went back outside,

"Wanna take a walk?" Ashton grabbed my hand. I nodded and laced our fingers.

We slowly walked around the place, waving at the other guests. We did get a couple of looks- probably because we look twelve and I'm obviously pregnant- but we get looks in public like that a lot now so we are pretty much over it.

We realized this place had a lot of things for kids, seeing as most of the other guests had children with them,

"We should come back when she gets a little older" Ashton spoke,

"I think that'd be fun" I grinned, looking up at him,

"I can't believe we're having a girl" Ashton gushed, "I was rooting for a girl"

"I know. I was rooting for one too" I laughed,

"I'm gonna warn you now" Ashton lightly squeezed my hand, "That little girl will not be dating or hanging out with boys until she's 40"

"We'll see about that" I smiled, making him laugh, "I do know she's going to be so spoiled"

Ashton gave me a look,

"I've seen our cart on Amazon" I giggled, watching Ashton's face turn red,

"I was just too excited" he chuckled, kissing my head quickly.

After we ate dinner, we got changed into bathing suits and walked out the back of our cabin to the lake. I sat out towels and phones down on the sand and walked into the water with Ashton.

We went out to where I couldn't touch, making me climb up Ashton's body and wrap my arms and legs around him the best I could- the bump getting in the way just a little.

I leaned my head back, taking Ashton in, making him giggle because I was staring at him,

"You just gonna stare?" He teased. I rolled my eyes and pressed my lips to his.
