~Six Months Later~

Shortly after Niall asked me to move in with him he also surprised me with my dad coming to visit. It was quite possibly the most thoughtful thing anyone had every done for me. And now, after being in another country for almost a year, the boys decided we needed to go home so they could meet our families. "Will you two knock the PDA off?" Harry asked throwing a water bottle at Louis and Kat. We were finally pulling up to her house so he was going to need all the courage he could get. "Good luck!" I yelled as they got out of the car. "You're definitely going to need it!" Megan yelled giggling. Kat glared at us both and then took Louis' hand and pulled him up the driveway to her house. "That's where she lives? Damn, you girls said you had money but..." Harry said in awe. Aw, poor boys. If they think this is big wait until they see the others. Kat's house was actually the smallest. Next we were taking Lex and Zayn to her house because while they weren't official, they were close. I was just waiting for him to get the courage to ask her out. "Is there anything I should know?" He asked before we got there. "Don't act like a child, don't make references to the band, they won't get it, and most importantly." Brit said looking at Megan and I. "Don't be loud!" We all yelled shocking him a bit. "Don't listen to them, be yourself. If they can't handle it who cares? It's not like I live here anymore." Lex said rolling her eyes.

"So why do you all live in that small flat in London if you have such large homes here?" Niall asked curiously. I mean, anyone would have asked that question. "Our parents have money, we don't, well, we do now but you get what I mean. "Okay Brit, we're here." I said looking out the window to see her mom already standing at the door. "Okay Becca, I'll see you in probably less than an hour!" She squealed grabbing Harry's hand and pulling him out of the car. She wasn't even going to bother grabbing her bag. Typical. "She doesn't get along with her mom. Spent most of high school either at Becca's or one of our houses." Megan explained since it seemed as though Liam and Niall were confused. Soon enough we dropped off Megan and Liam and then were sitting outside my house. "You know no matter how crazy you think she is, she is your mother." Niall pointed out as if I didn't already know that. "I know, which is why I'll do anything to make sure I don't act like her when I have kids." I said. I've promised myself that since I was about thirteen. My kids would not have the same kind of childhood I did.

"Princess!" My father yelled after I tried surprising him. It didn't work but I tried. "Daddy!" I yelled back dropping my bag to hug him. It was only a couple of minutes later that my mom entered the room. "Well, it's good to see you Rebecca. And this must be the... boyfriend." She said almost disgusted by the word. I glanced over at Niall and smirked. Maybe we should just tell her now... "Actually he's not my boyfriend." I said walking back over to him. I saw the surprise on my mother's face, but my father didn't look surprised. Instead he smiled and nodded his head. "What do you mean? Why is he here then?" She asked crossing her arms disapprovingly. "Well Mrs. Johnson, I asked your daughter to marry me." Niall announced handing me back the ring that I asked him to hold on to. I didn't want to tell the others just yet when we were all going to be stressed about being home. My mother went pale for a moment and then fainted. She literally passed out. "Congratulations princess. But Niall, I told you before, and I'll say it again. You better not hurt my little girl." My dad said crossing the room ignoring the fact that his wife was passed out on the ground. "You knew?" I questioned confused. "You didn't think I was actually going to ask you to marry me without asking your dad first did you?" Niall asked wrapping his arm around my waist. "Well since I thought it was an impulsive kind of thing, I didn't expect it." I responded with a smile. Only this guy would be able to surprise a girl twice in such a short time.

"This can't be real. You are 18 Rebecca!" My mother yelled after she came to. "Mom, first, I'm an adult and can do whatever I want, and second, I'm nineteen. Not eighteen." I pointed out watching her face as she looked confused and probably tried to do the math in her head. She opened her mouth to argue but was cut off by my dad. "It's her life. And you need to support her. After all, it was your idea to push our daughter away." He said clearly displeased with the whole situation. "While you two fight we're going to go upstairs." I said rolling my eyes and taking Niall's hand. I don't know why my parents don't just split up, they aren't happy together, if you can even consider sleeping in the same bed together. "Is that normal?" Niall asked when we were finally alone in my room. I shrugged. "I don't know how it's been since I left but that's tame compared to how they would fight before. My dad travels a lot for business so he doesn't have to deal with it a lot, but despite all that he's never cheated on my mom once." I admitted. With how much they fought I never understood how my dad had never cheated, but then when I asked, he explained that he didn't want to let me grow up thinking it was okay for guys to cheat just because things get hard. "It's admirable. I mean the not cheating part. I guess despite their differences they still love each other and that's why they never split up..." He suggested. I don't know, I'm sure they do love each other, I just wouldn't want my kid growing up in that kind of household...
