Jhené sat back on the porch as she watched Y/N work on her car. It happened to be a hot day so Y/N was wearing her black tank top. The El Camino covered in dirt but you could tell it was white. Y/N groaned when she couldn't get a certain part attached or she dropped something. "Why don't you come sit down and cool in the shade for a second?" Jhené questioned. "I'm almost done but this fucking starter isn't going into place." Y/N huffed out before climbing from under the car to catch her breath.
Jhené smacked her lips at Y/N's stubbornness and stood up, walking over to her. "Sit down and breathe. The job is only going to get more frustrating the more you get frustrated. We have all weekend to work on it so come join me in the shade." Jhené said as she stood over Y/N.
"That's the thing though. Once the starter is on and connected to everything, we can take a trip of our own. This is the last thing I need to get it started. I've replaced everything else but this. This has to be the problem." Y/N sighs out. "We can figure it out after you've calmed down. Come on." Jhené said as she held her hand out for Y/N to grab. Y/N let out a huff before grabbing Jhené's hand and let her pull her up.
Y/N wrapped her and around Jhené but Jhené pushed it off. "You're all sweaty." Jhené grimaced. "You're acting like you weren't just watching me and squeezing your thighs together just a few minutes ago. I saw that shit. You ain't slick." Y/N laughed when Jhené hit her. "I wasn't squeezing my thighs together. Get your mind out the gutter." Jhené giggled.
"I'm trying to be in your gutter. When you gonna let me!?" Y/N whined. "Shut up" Jhené pushed Y/N's head away from her when she got close to where their noses almost touched. "I'm just playing. What we having for dinner?" Y/N questioned as she leaned back on the couch. "I was thinking vegan tacos." Jhené spoke. "I'm not going meatless Né. I like my steak and chicken and that's not changing. You can have vegan tacos. I'll order a pizza." Y/N groaned when Jhené hit her stomach.
"I want to cook you something though." Jhené whined. Y/N groaned before agreeing to vegan tacos, making Jhené cheer. "Can I go back to fixing the car please? I really want to get it going." Y/N asked. "Yes. You look sexy when you're sweaty." Jhené joked. "I knew you wanted me!" Y/N laughed.
"You have no idea" Jhené mumbled.
Time Skip
Y/N groaned when she finished eating her food. "That wasn't so bad was it?" Jhené questioned. "Will you marry me? That was amazing." Y/N said as she grabbed hers and Jhené's dishes. "I have to tell you something..." Jhené trailed off. "Can I wash the dishes first?" Y/N questioned. "Yeah. Let me help." Jhené stands up and makes her way towards Y/N.
After they finished the dishes, they went into the living room, and took a seat on the couch. Jhené was cuddled under Y/N's arm. "What did you want to talk about?" Y/N's voice quiet. She was worried it was about her having feelings for Jhené.
"I was talking to Mila and Miyoko about my music and they got me an audition to hopefully get signed..." Jhené trailed off. "But? There's always a but." Y/N mumbled. "But that means I have to leave school and you... I would be moving to LA." Jhené's heart dropping when she felt you tense up and your heart started racing.
"I- uh... I don't know what to say." Y/N's voice cracking at the news. Her best friend and the love of her life telling her that she's pretty much leaving her behind when they planned to do this music together. They were supposed to make it together. "A-Are you mad at me?" Jhené questioned, the nervousness in her voice was very noticeable. "I'm happy you're going after your dreams. I can't be mad at you for something you're passionate about and have the chance for making it a reality. It hurts that you're leaving me but I only want you happy." Y/N sighed out sadly.
