A firm grip and a sudden pull made the girl yell and was dragged to nowhere.

Hana was about to take charge and kill a bitch when she clearly saw the culprit.

"Minhyung?"

Mark winced at the sound of the name choice. Although it was his actual full name, he wasn't accustomed to it. He stopped in the old garden by the very back. Some say ghosts were partying in there, but he prefers to be seen by a soul than a bratty student.

"Mark"

"Huh?"

"Call me Mark, goddamnit."

Hana snorted, understanding where he's coming from. Yet she flashed a playful grin and crossed her arms.

"I'll call you anything, and I'll call you Minhyung."

"It makes me cringe! For what reason anyway?"

"I'm your soulmate?" Hana shrugged; that exact word made him shut.

Mark sighed in defeat as silence drew over them. The seconds of the clock ticked above them, yet they seemed to not have the guts to start a conversation.

It went on for a minute, Hana growing tired, and the aching of her back didn't help quite well.

Surprisingly, the one-year-old male sensed her discomfort. His worries grew tight as he momentarily hesitated to take action.

Just do what the guys do, he urged himself and cleared his throat before reaching for her hand and clasping it together.

Hana lightly flinched at the sudden contact as her eyes snapped at their now intertwined hands. It warmed her heart for some reasons, gaping at how it actually molded perfectly.

Right then, the twitch on her spine slowly lessened, reaching its minimum until it finally vanished.

Hana's brows knitted in a fraction and flickered back to Mark, who's already looking at her. She took note of his distinctive features, sliding them right through her brain, as well as the current date with a hanging caption: First moment with my soulmate.

"How did you do that?"

"Do what?"

"This" she lightly nudged her head to their hands with her pain-free expression.

"Oh, I just remembered the boys pulling their soulmates for physical contact if one of them is in pain." he replied with a slight doubt in his tone.

Hana responded with a quiet oh and nodded, remembering her hourly soulmate discussions with the girls almost every night. It enlightened her for a bit, and she is now able to understand how the healing process works.

"Do you know how soulmates work?"
