Another morning came, another day to rot in the four-corner classroom.

But obviously, it's not the case for Mark Lee. He is sure as hell that the day won't end pretty.

He clutched the strap of his bag tight, his other hand clenching as his nails dug into his skin. He trudged to his first class, and surprisingly, Bae Jinyoung was the only one inside.

"Good morning," the tall younger cheekily greeted. "How's the hot girl, my friend?"

Not able to hold on even longer, Mark threw his bag down and pounced at him. Straddling the younger with his angered strength, pinning him in control.

"Fucking. Disgusting. Fucker." he growled, punching him with every word.

Jinyoung never got to wipe the blood off his busted lip or given the chance to breathe when Mark blew another set of punches.

"I sure got the perfect target, huh?" he managed to breathe out.

"Oh, I'm going to kill you." Mark got off and kicked his stomach, sending him against the chairs as it knocked off like dominoes.

Jinyoung winced at the striking pain in his head and back. He coughed out blood while catching his breath.

Mark snickered, crouching down in front, and slapped him; the younger's face shifted sideward due to the harsh force.

"Tell the community that Mark Lee is back." he said in a dark, menacing tone.

"Fuck you!"

Mark just chuckled and stood up, picking up his discarded bag, yet turned to him again and kicked his face. Jinyoung yelled in pain while holding his possibly broken nose.

"Sorry, I'm straight. Fuck yourself instead."

"So Mark Lee woke up and chose violence!" Chenle shrieked, causing his whole bunch to cover their ears.

Renjun clicked his tongue and said, "I swear, Zhong."

"Anyway, what's your plan, huh? You definitely told him to tell them that you're back?" Donghyuck cut in between while professionally dodging the older Chinese's glares.

"Are we really going back?" Jisung said in a hushed manner, causing the others to look at him worriedly.

"Ji, you don't have to."

"We're going back?" Jeno echoed while looking intently at their own team's leader.

Mark sighed and shook his head. "Not we, me."

Their jaws dropped, and Jaemin scoffed.

"You? So you're abandoning us? What happened to the group promise, Mark?"

"Jaemin, it's not because of that!"

"Wow, Mark, we didn't know that you're still so careless and dumb." Donghyuck added.

"You don't understand!" Mark's voice raised in frustration. "I'm doing this for us. I don't want any things to happen again."

"Just say that you're leaving." Jeno said lowly.

"No! I'm just worried! And scared! And Renjun..." he paused for a moment and looked at the said Chinese. "I can't risk everything."

Chewing his lower lip in both sadness and disappointment, Renjun stood up and faced Mark with a brave face.

"I'll go with you."

"What–"

"I said I'm going back! With you!" he choked back his tears. "I don't want to be a burden. If I'm the reason why you're cutting the group"

"Gosh, Renjun, I'm not cutting the group!"

"If I'm the one that you're worried about; please don't. I'm fine now, Mark. I'm all healed up."

Mark's jaw dropped, and his eyes slowly trailed from one face to another. The six boys were all wearing the same expression: bravery.

"I admit I still don't want to touch any weapons. I'm still shaking whenever I touch my computer. I'm still crying when I'll see my earpiece, my badge, our logo." Renjun harshly wiped his tears. "But I'm not going to sit here, watching the group that I've grown to, and the brothers that accepted me all crumble out. Mark, we're going with you. We're a team."

"What he said," Chenle shrugged and tapped his shoulder, being the one beside him. "We're going with you."

Mark watched them all sit straight, with firm looks that's shouting their decision.

Mark's heart warmed—he missed this.

Maybe two years is enough. Maybe this is really their way.

"Okay," he deeply sighed. "But we'll only be back temporarily."

"Whaaaaaaat" Jisung whined.

"We'll leave after catching CiX."

"That's not sexy, Mark." Jaemin pouted.

"My eyes won't agree." Jeno added.

"Guys listen–"

"Mhm, no, you listen," Donghyuck crossed his arms. "I'm sick of waiting in the mansion, slowly dying while waiting for my soulmate to come back, Mark. I'll bet all my brain cells that you also carelessly chose to go back because of Hana. We all itch to pull them away out of the field, Mark."

"But they won't, and we're all waiting for this moment to happen." Jisung added.

"We don't know how you feel, but please remember that we also don't want to be left behind, with or without soulmates," Renjun said, beaming a smile. "Let's go back, Mark."
