Renjun settled himself on the corner of his bed. Head down, curling up against the wall as he blankly stared at the plain white sheet.
The small four-cornered room is white. The desk space that placed on the other side and the outline of the double windows are colored blue.
The small cabinet beside the single sized bed is wooden, where his things were stored. And the rectangular wall shelf where a small radio and a cute succulent plant are placed.
Yet neither of these excites Renjun.
The moment he wakes up.
The moment he sleeps.
It's like an unending cycle where he clearly knows what to happen tomorrow.
So he sat far from his deskspace where the almost full drawing book settled on top. Countless of pencils and crayons messily scattering.
"Renjun?"
He snapped almost immediately and he blinked once..twice..
The smiling woman in a clean white hospital robe cautiously entered and sat on the only chair inside – the one on his desk.
"How's my Injunie going?"
Renjun beamed a smile the moment he heard it, scrambling to place his limp body infront of her with his legs dangling on the edge.
"I'm fine" he said, yet his tone said otherwise
The woman pouted yet nodded in understanding, then looked over to the drawing book which is opened to the recent page.
"Oh Injun.. may i see your new drawing?"
The boy gasped and almost stumbled on his feet as he dove to the desk, grabbing the book and aggressively shook his head.
"Why?" she softly asked
"It's nothing. There's nothing!" his eyes widened when he raised his voice unintentionally
"I'm sorry.." he whimpered
"No Junie it's okay"
"It's not!" he harshly wiped his tears, "I killed him!"
"Injun no–"
"I killed Chenle. H-he's my friend. I'm a monster!" he wailed
"Renjun–"
Yet she never completed her sentence when the boy gripped on her sleeves, looking up to her with a determined look.
"But it's not really me" his voice trailed in full doubt, "H-he told me it was me"
"Who Renjun?"
Renjun clutched at the material more and chewed on his lower lip before asking,
"Can i trust you, doctor?"
