Chapter 28 - "Serious?"

Luke's POV*

It was a Saturday evening and I'd been editing all day so I decided to take a little break for a while and watch some YouTube videos.

I clicked onto my subscription box and scrolled through the videos. A Ricky Dillon video came up so I watched that and thumbsed it up.

Then I saw that Gemma had uploaded a new video a few hours ago. It was a Q&A. I clicked on the video and waited for it to load. The video started to play and Gemma said her intro. She looked cute and happy..

I kept watching until she got the question "do you have any love interests?" I paused the video not ready to listen to her answer.

I had the urge press play and see that she said no and didn't like any one at the moment but I wouldn't know what she would say unless I watched it. So I pressed play and waited for her answer.

"Okay, it's me! Once in a blue moon does a boy like me... BUT right now I do have someone in interest. It's not that serious but I'm happy." She said smiling.

I sighed loudly knowing exactly who she was talking about. My heart felt like it was sinking to my stomach so I clicked off the video. I felt like this every time she mentioned him, he was like a disease and I hadn't even met him. Hopefully when me and Jack go over I won't have to meet him at all.. But it made me so mad.

Louise's POV*

"We're going out tonight! He's taking me bowling so I can't dress up too much." Gemma squealed sitting on my bed.

All she seemed to talk about was Kyle lately. It was getting a bit out of hand but that was just her way of showing everyone how much she liked him.

I nodded to let her know I was listening.

"So what do you think? Skirt and crop top or a dress?" She asked me.
"Uhm.. Skirt and crop top." I said without thinking.
"Yeah, I was thinking that too." She said smiling.
"Have you spoken to Luke lately?" I asked thinking about how mad he was when he texted me about Gemma's new video.
"Last night we skyped for a bit, why?" She asked.
"He just seems mad..." I said.
"Oh.. I dunno, he confuses me." She said laughing.
"So are you and Kyle a thing now?" I asked.
"I suppose, we haven't spoke about it properly yet and this time he is less secretive and cares for me more so I guess it wouldn't be a bad thing." She said.
"Hm.." I replied thinking the exact opposite of him.

Gemma's phone buzzed.

"It's Kyle." She said smiling.
"What's he saying?" I asked not really caring.
"He said he will pick me up at 5." She said.
"That's in 2 hours, shouldn't you be getting ready?" I asked.
"Yes! I should...sorry but I'm gonna have to go." She said standing up.
"That's fine." I said smiling.
"Okay, bye! I'll text you later and tell you how it goes!!" She said almost skipping out of my bedroom door.

Gemma's POV*

Once I was ready I went downstairs to wait on Kyle.

I was wearing a black skirt with gold details on it and a plain black crop top with my grey hoodie on top since it was kinda cold outside.

I saw two flashing car lights coming down the street. It was Kyle's car so I left the house and walked out to his car.

He got out and opened the door for me like he did last time.

"Hi.." I said smiling once he got in his seat.
"Hi." He said blushing.
"You look cute." I said admiring his outfit choice.

He had a plain white shirt on and black skinny jeans with black and white trainers.

"Thanks, you look amazing!" He said smiling.
"Thank you." I laughed.

"I'm excited for bowling, I haven't been in so long." I said.
"I went a few weeks ago with the boys." He said.
"Oh, so you'll beat me?" I said laughing.
"Nah, I'm still a little rusty.." He laughed.
"That's good, that gives me more of a chance then." I smirked.

He started the engine and we drove to the bowling place.

Kyle got out of the car and opened my door to let me out.

Once I was out he put his arm around my waist as we walked in. I looked up to him with a smile. It felt comfortable.

We walked into the bowling place and it wasn't too full. There were 6 free lanes. Kyle got our bowling shoes and I put mine on. Mine were black and purple and Kyle's were red and blue which made me laugh because they looked ridiculous with his outfit.

"Nice shoes." I said laughing.
"Just because mine are cooler." He said laughing.
"I'm just jealous." I said smiling and standing up from the bench at the side.

Kyle followed me to our lane.

"Can I go first? I'll probably embarrass myself so I want to get it over with." I said.
"Sure." He said laughing and sitting down.

I picked up the second heaviest bowling ball and walked to the lane.
I raised the ball and quickly threw it down the lane. It hit 6 bowling pins.

"That's okay! I haven't played in years so I think that's alright." I said laughing.
"It's good.. But I'm better." Kyle smirked while getting up.

He threw the ball down the lane and it hit them all first go.

"Strike! Oh yeah!!" Kyle laughed turning around to me.
"You only haven't played in a few months! It's not fair." I said laughing.
"Don't get so annoyed." Kyle joked.
"I'm not!" I laughed.

Once we had a played a few games and Kyle had beaten me in every one, we went and got some food.

"Okay Kyle, this might kill the fun mood but I need to get this over with." I said as he sat down with his food.

A concerned look washed over his face.

"Are we a thing?" I asked.
"A thing?" He questioned.
"Yeah, are we dating?" I asked.
"Well...this is a date? Isn't it?" He laughed.
"Yeah..but guys can be complicated sometimes I had to make sure." I said blushing.
"Maybe the question isn't are we dating, it's are we serious?" He asked the look washing over his face again.

I froze and thought about it. If I say no he will get the wrong idea and hate me, but I feel too rushed to say yes...

"I suppose.." I smirked.
"You suppose?" He said confused.
"Let's just see how things go for now." I smiled.
"Uh, yeah.. Sure." Kyle said.
