Chapter 31 - Reunited

Gemma's POV*

A few weeks had past and it was now the day before I had to pick up Luke and Jack at the airport. I was excited to see them but also to see how Louise would react.

Not a lot had changed in the few weeks, I was still dating Kyle. We had been on a couple more dates and just hung around together. I liked taking it slow.

I wasn't sure what I was gonna say to Luke and Jack when I pick them up, I hadn't saw them in so long I think it'll be awkward.

I had to be awake for 4am to get ready to leave for the airport so I had to go to bed early.

After I had gotten into my pyjamas I crawled into bed and fell asleep with my phone in my hands.

I woke up to the sound of my annoying alarm blaring in my ear.

I quickly turned it off and stretched. I could barely open my eyes but it was just starting to get light outside.

I looked at my phone and it was 4:06am. I stretched again before preparing myself to get up.

Once I got up I went for a quick shower and came back to my room. I sat in front of my mirror with my make up bag. I dabbed concealer under my eyes so they wouldn't know how tired I was and then put on mascara and powder.

It made me look more alive.

I took my hair out of its messy bun and ran my fingers through it. It looked kinda messy but it would do. I then threw on a pair of black leggings and a grey hoodie and my Nike trainers.

I kinda looked like a tramp but I was too tired to try hard.

By now it was 4:34 so I grabbed my keys and jumped in the car.

I turned the radio on and started the engine.

"Boom Clap" by Charlie XCX was playing on Radio 1. I had heard this song like 1 million times already but I was too tired to change it.

The roads were quiet and I only saw 1 other car while I drove to the airport.

The sun was rising so the sky was being filled with light.

I got to the airport car park and parked my car in the nearest spot and got out.

I was more awake now so I hurried into the airport.

There were few people there so I was free to sit down.

I checked my phone to see if they had texted me but I didn't have any new texts.

Luke had texted me last night saying that he was traveling to the airport.

I looked up at the flight screens and I could see that their plane had landed.

I waited and waited for someone to come through the doors but it just stayed quiet.

20 minutes passed and an old couple came through the doors smiling with a glowing tan. They smiled as they walked past me and then proceeded to walk straight through the doors.

More and more people started to come through the doors but no sign of Luke or Jack.

Once it had all went quiet again I stood up and walked over to where the doors were to wait.

I was starting to get a little bored so I took my phone out and played candy crush for a bit.

"GEMMA!!" I heard a familiar voice shout.

I turned around quickly to see who it was.

Luke was standing in the middle of the room with a massive smile on his face holding his suitcase.
