Percy's P.O.V

A voice yelled "Hey!" And I turned towards the entrance to the alleyway to see a figure with her arms on her hips, the rising sun highlighting her strawberry blonde hair gold. All she needed was a cape blowing in the wind and she'd look like your stereotypical superhero.

The Chimera turned its attention away from me and on to her.
The girl stepped forwards and said "My name's Pippa. You attacked my friends." With that, she charged.

The Chimera seemed to be shocked by her sudden appearance and she got halfway down the alleyway before it reacted. It breathed fire at her but she appeared to have anticipated that and she dropped to the floor, sliding across the ground. She jumped back to her feet just as the blast of fire ceased, perfectly timed. The Chimera roared and she roared back. She charged it head on, not a glimmer of fear in her eyes, and when she reached it she leaped as high as she could. She pushed off from the top of its muzzle and twisted in the air, landing on the Chimera's back. The snake snapped at her but she calmly grabbed it just behind its head and jerked it suddenly downwards, breaking its spine and leaving it hanging limply from the Chimera.
It bucked and tried to throw her off but she held on tightly to its mane. It reared onto its hind legs and she grabbed onto the left horn to stop herself from falling off. As its hooves came thumping back down to the ground, the force combined with Pippa's grip caused it to snap off. It breathed fire into the air, trying desperately to reach her.
She roared at it again and brought the horn down through the top of its skull.

I stared at her in amazement as the Chimera dissolved beneath her, leaving her standing there with the Chimera's horn still in her hand.
She breathed heavily and looked around, like 'what now?'.
A glowing blood red spear appeared over her head.

I gathered just enough of my senses to kneel and say "Hail, Pippa... Daughter of Ares, god of war and a huge thorn in my side."
