Chapter 4

"What's the difference?" I asked him,

"Between the love of your life,

and your soulmate?"

Last night was quite nice after dinner Caleb and I had gone to bed, more like only me since he had some work to do and so stayed up late.

When I woke up this morning he wasn't around but had left a post-It note for me on the dresser next to the bed, in the note he informed that he had some work to do and would be back in the evening, when we would go and meet his parents.

I was a bit dissappointed that he didn't tell me himself but I'm sure he was pretty busy if not he would waited for me to wake up. I head to the shower and take a bath, I remove the braids from my hair and put it into a bun, I dress up in a yellow sundress with my old pair of multicoloured sandals.

I ordered food and ate, I wasn't really in the mood for socialising I just decided to read a book I brought, I was supposed to read it on the plane but since I slept in the plane I couldn't read it.

The book was quite interesting, by the time I was done with the book it was already 3 and I quickly got up to start getting ready.

I looked at myself in the mirror and admire my work, my hair had been straightened and placed in a bun with a few strands left out, I had been able to do it because of a youtube tutorial.
My makeup was quite light and not as dark as my day to day but I figured it was perfect for whom I am meeting, I wore a teal colored dress, it was long and covered my legs so my silver coloured heels weren't visible, it had a round neck at the front of the dress and it had a little v-neck at the back of the dress, I had decided not opt for my usual attire of jeans since this was the first time I would be meeting his parents and I wanted to leave a good impression on them.

I had paired the dress with some silver earrings and a silver necklace that belonged to my mom before she died, once I'm satisfied with my appearance, I sat down and waited for Caleb to come back from wherever he went to, I check my phone for the first time today, I saw a message from Tayo and decided to reply.

Tayo;
Hey, when you coming back? I miss you. 🥺

Amelia:

🤔Probably on Monday so I see you on Tuesday, how was work?

Tayo
It was okay, we were surprisingly
not busy... enjoy yourself.

Amelia:
Alright.

Tayo
Ttyl, got to walk cupcake,
love you😘

I smile at her text, cupcake was her 2 year old German Shepherd, she had adopted her
last year and was totally smitten with her.

Amelia:
Ok..love you too

Just as I send the text the door open and Caleb walks in, I smile when i see him and immediately keep my phone in my clutch. He stares at me for a while before licking his lips and walking closer to me, he holds my waist and gives me a smoochy kiss I feel his hand trail from my waist to my hips, after a heated make out section he removes his lips from mine.

"You look beautiful." He tells me in a hoarse voice, looking at me as if I was water and he hadn't drank any throughout the day.

I blush at his words before grabbing his hand. "Let's go." I tell him, making my way to the door, I didn't want us to be late as I wanted to make a good impression on his parents.
