Chapter 7

Two souls don't find each other by simple accident.

The breezy wind from the open windows in the small restaurant flings my hair back and forth from the open windows as i look  around the small restaurant, the wooden table where I was sitted was a bit chipped such that the table showed the inner wood used in making it.

The restaurant I was currently sitted at was called Naomi's place and was owned by a woman named Naomi, she was a slightly overweighted asian mother, she was a single mother of 3 children, a girl and 2 boys.

Her husband used to work in a city close to Dawson or so she thought, she later found out he was cheating on her with a lady half his age and the lady even had 2 kids for him.

She found this out about 4 years ago when he gave her divorce papers, a little while before my parents died.

This was apparently news in our small town where nothing ever happened, it was what everyone was talking about throughout the week, even my mom went to visit her to give her condolences.

Last I had heard about her husband he had married his babies mama.

"How was the dinner ?" Tayo asked finally looking up at me, even though she was the one that invited me here she has basically ignored me as she had been texting on her phone and had only kept her phone down when the food arrived.

Today she was dressed in black jeans paired with a pink blouse and her cream coloured wedges and she looked pretty as always.

Her hair was packed in a middle puff hairstyle.

"It was good at first but when his hot brother it became so awkward." I tell her with a frown.

She looks me up and down before replying "Brother?" She questioned with an eyebrow raised.

By her action and question I remember that I haven't talk to her about Chase before, I never really knew anything about him before only that he was Caleb's only sibling but Caleb and i never actually talked about him before the dinner.

Whenever I asked about him or brought him up in a conversation after that day Caleb's always gets pissed or upset so I got the cue and eventually stop talking or asking questions about him.

So I could basically count all the things I knew about him in the palm of my hand, but that didn't mean I wasn't thinking about him.

"Chase." I tell her my voice sounded husky even to my own ears.

"Uhm?" She asks before placing a fork full of spaghetti in her mouth.

"His name is Chase." I tell her shivering a little when I mentioned his name.

She looks at me before putting the glass of water she drank from on the table.

"Details." She tells me with an eye roll.

I roll my eyes before taking a sip of my water just to annoy her and talking.
"Chase is Caleb's twin brother so he's probably the same age as him meaning he's also 26." I tell her everything I knew about him in a breath.

"Caleb's a twin?, I never knew that." She tells me giving me a pointed look.

"Yes you did I told you before." I tell her not even bothering to remove my gaze from my plate.

Tayo has adhd which makes it hard for her to remember things, sometimes she even forgets what I tell her, it previously used to piss me off but I always remember her sickness and got over it, nowadays I couldn't even bothered by it.
