Yoga, Hair and Coffee

November 24, 2016 AD

Adagio's Pov

"Wanna build a fort?" I randomly ask.

Luna perks up and squeals. "Heck ya!"

Pearl comes out of our shared room and asks what's going on. Luna explains as she tears the cushions off the couch. Pearl immediately begins helping. We move all the chairs away from the table. She grabs one end and has me take the other. Together we lift the table onto the kitchen's platform.

Luna pushes the couch closer to where the table was. Not quite in the same place but close. Pearl mutters to herself about sheets. She leaves and grabs two sets of extra sheets. Luna and I line the floor between the table and couch with cushions.

"Grab that end of the sheet." Pearl tosses well more like throws one end of the sheet at me.

I help her lay part of it across the table. Luna places a bunch of books on the sheet to keep it from sliding. Pearl and I pull the rest of the sheet onto the couch. This sheet covers half of the pillows. The other sheet covers the other half.

"Grab some more books."

I hold the sheet in place so Luna can place books on the sheets to keep from moving. "Done."

We stand back to admire our handy work. It's beautiful. Somethings missing... but what? Oh! I know. I go to the cupboards and grab popcorn, chips and dip. I tell Pearl to grab some drinks and bowls.

When I step inside our fort Luna has a card game set up. "What are we playing?"

Luna grins. "My favourite."

"UNO!" I scream.

"Pearl?"

That sounds like Althea. I wonder if Chloe is with her. Both girls are demigods. Althea is the daughter of Athena and Chloe is the daughter of Nemesis. Althea is tall with blonde hair and green eyes. Chloe is shorter with red hair and brown eyes. They have known each other since they started school when young.

We became fast friends years ago. I believe Luna knew them from some extracurricular. I introduced Pearl when I spotted them down the hall before English. That was two weeks after we started first semester.

"Yes?"

"Are you in the fort?"

I stick my head out. Althea looks amused. Chloe on the other hand is beaming. "Wanna join?"

"Ya!"

Pearl, Luna and I make room for them. They quickly make themselves comfortable. Althea asks what we are playing. "Were almost done our fifth round of Uno. You can play after I win this."

"Cool,"

True to my words I won.

As we start a new round Chloe asks if we want to meet them tomorrow morning for coffee. Luna enthusiastically agrees. Pearl on the other hand asks how early. Good question. Chloe thinks for a moment, but it's Althea who answers.

"Say around 6:40 at the cafe."

November 25, 2016 AD

"Althea, how can you be up this early?" Pearl asks. Her chin in her hands as we wait for Sherly to bring us coffee and tea. Althea isn't the biggest coffee or tea drinker so she got orange juice. Chloe got coffee and so did Pearl. Luna isn't allowed to have coffee so she got tea like me.

"It's not that early, it's only 6:50."

"Hear that Adds. Only 6:50." Pearl nudges me with her elbow. I sigh and rest my eyes for a minute.
