Therefore I am-Billie Eilish

THE DAY AFTER THE DANCE MIGUEL'S MOM STARTED to knock on the door, trying to figure out exactly who hurt him. Her concern with this issue was warranted, seeing as all she wanted to do was protect her child. It seemed though, no matter where she went, she wasn't getting any answers.

"Chill out! I'm coming to the damn door!" Bianca yelled as she got out of bed. Cynthia pulled the sheets over her head and sighed. 5 more minutes. That's all she wanted before school.

"It's Carmen!" The woman yelled from the other side of the door.

"Shit." Bianca raised a leg, trying to put on pants before stumbling over to the door and opening it. "Hey."

"Hey, Bianca. Can we all sit down and have a talk?" Cynthia heard Carmen ask.

"Cynthia! Get your ass out of bed now!" The older Sari woman yelled, Miguel laughed loud enough for the teen girl to hear and she sighed before hopping out of bed, kinda forgetting that she was in her "pajamas" which was only a big t-shirt.

"Are you okay?" The Sari girl ran over to Miguel and pulled him into a tight hug, which probably wasn't the best idea.

"You-you're crushing me." He said, tapping her back.

"Sorry." Cynthia stepped away apologetically and folded her hands behind her back. "I was just really worried."

"What happened to Miguel?" Bianca questioned, once Cyn got home from the dance she didn't want to talk so the Sari woman figured it was a date gone wrong.

"That's what I want to talk to her about." Carmen said, a serious but concerned look on her face.

This couldn't be good.

CYNTHIA DIDN'T GIVE UP TOO MUCH INFORMATION about who hurt Miguel. He didn't want her to and if Carmen tried to have something changed at school it would only make matters worse. The whole thing was kind of a mess.

Currently, the karate quartet, which was a total joke of a name by the way was all sitting in the library. The Sari girl skimming through a book, and the boys having a conversation about karate, again. Hence the reason she calls the group the karate quartet.

"So, that's it? No more karate?" Demetri asked curiously as Miguel scribbled in his notebook.

"I guess so." The Diaz boy shrugged his shoulders, replying with a tinge of sadness in his voice.

"It's probably for the best, it was starting to boost your confidence." The dark haired boy said.

"Isn't that a good thing?" Miguel questioned, Cynthia was half listening, reading and chewing on the end of her pen.

"No, what has confidence ever gotten out of anyone except for a black eye?" Demetri asked.

"Okay." Cynthia took her feet off of Miguel's lap. "That's it, i'm tired of hearing all three of you shit on yourselves. Miguel, you be as confident as you want. Demetri, if you want a girl like Yasmine, go get her because believe me you can and Eli, you have a little something extra on your lip but it doesn't matter because you are a good person and it doesn't even mess up the way you look!"
