Burning Pile — Mother mother

CYNTHIA AND MIGUELS FAMILY SAT AROUND a small, and squished table as they watched Johnny and Bianca finish up dinner. None of them knew why exactly they were letting the two cook. It was obvious that all Simon, Carmen, and Yaya could cook better so it seemed like this was a bad idea.

Considering Bianca and Johnny were the worst cooks to exist.

"This is not going to end well." Cynthia whispered to her boyfriend who nodded his head lightly, giving her an i know look.

"Alright, fajitas and veggies." Bianca spoke, happily clapping her hands together.

"We even have flour and corn tortillas." Johnny grinned, both adults looking happy at what they had made. "Oh, and pico de gallo."

"Thank you, guys. This looks very good." Carmen smiled politely, looking down at the table as the two of them placed trays down on them.

"Yeah, delicious." Simon wanted to be polite, for the sake of getting along with his sisters boyfriend but, he had little to no hope this meal would taste good.

"Thanks, I got the recipe from the chilis website." Johnny replied proudly as he pulled out the chair for both him, and Bianca.

"Chili's? You told me you got the authentic recipe from someone!" Bianca slapped the mans arm and shook her head as she sat down beside him.

"It's Chili's, that's still authentic." The blonde man defended, putting his hands up in the air.

"Authentic for who? We're Ecuadorian, not Mexican." Yaya spoke in Spanish, Cynthia understanding for the most part. Ever since she became Miguel's girlfriend, she had been doing her best to learn more and more Spanish.

It was a small gesture he didn't know about yet but, as she laughed he could tell she understood.

"Here try this." Johnny held up a jar of salsa and opened it up as he poured some on the older womans plate. "Spicy mango, just like the old country."

"The old what..—" Simon was cut off by his sister stomping on his feet, while Cyn and Miguel tried their best to not die laughing at their now blended families antics.

"How do you like doing karate together now that you are boyfriend and girlfriend?" Yaya asked in Spanish, her eyebrows wiggling. She had always sensed something between them, and she was happy that they were now together. "I'm sure you like sparring one on one."

As the Sari girl sipped her soda, she practically choked on it as she watched the woman punch her fists together.

"I'm glad you two are together now, it's about time." Carmen spoke, sending Cyn a smile. "You were there for him in the hospital, even before that and i'm very grateful."
