Freaks — Surf Curse
CYNTHIA FELT THE MOST RELAXED WITH HER FRIENDS so it was no surprise that lately, she had been hanging out with them more. The girl did her best not to distance herself like she usually did, and filled them in on everything she could to keep them updated. Some were more happy about it than others but, it just felt nice to her to be able to talk to people without fear of being laughed at.
"I see dating life is treating you well." Demetri commented as the pair of them walked down the hallway, the girl holding onto the strap of her book bag. "All my friends got into relationships at once."
"I'm sure you'll find someone too, I mean, look around, there's a shit ton of options." The Sari girl gestured around the hall. "You are a catch, Dem."
"Unfortunately, unlike you and the rest of our friends, i'm not conventionally attractive, meaning I have to achieve something great, to then gain confidence, and then I can get a hot girlfriend." The boy explained, shrugging his shoulders like it was the easiest explanation he had ever given in his life.
"I think you made things a lot more complicated than they actually are." Cynthia laughed slightly, shaking her head. "But i'll let you figure that out by yourself."
"I highly doubt that a girl would look my way unless I did something even remotely impressive." Demetri and the girl turned a corner, pushing their way out of the doors of the school, just like the other students in front of or behind them.
"Maybe you could join karate, we would all be there to help you whenever you need it." The Sari teen suggested, getting excited of the idea all her friends could enjoy the same hobby.
"Not a chance." The boy lightly shook his head as Hawk and Miguel approached, both of them smiling lightly.
One more than the other.
"You guys should convince Dem to do karate with us, wouldn't it be so fun." Cynthia whined, dreaming of their group kicking ass side by side as her boyfriend put his arm around her.
"We already tried, he won't do it." Miguel shrugged, deciding that he was finished trying to push his friend to join, it wasn't worth the weird little arguments they had on the topic, and he had a lot on his mind.
"Because he's a loser." Hawk commented, lightly scoffing as the three of his friends glared at him.
"You can act like that around other people if you want but, let's keep the dickery to a minimum with your best friends, yeah?" Cynthia questioned, everyone feeling uncomfortable as they cleared their throats.
