I couldn't be more than happy for Tiffany. Through all the heartbreak she had suffered at the hands of her ex Toby she had found, or more like stumbled, into the arms of her now fiancé Kaleb. Undeniably they were that couple that people rolled their eyes at because of how insanely in love they were but if you knew them and their past relationships, you couldn't be more happy for them.
I pulled a beer out of the hotel fridge and popped the cap with my lighter. We were all in Vegas for the weekend since Kaleb had popped the question only a few hours earlier in front of the Bellagio fountains. Currently all us girls were getting ready for a night out with Kaleb and his boys he had invited. Tiffany had just finished taming my wavy hair with her straightener and as soon as she was done I bolted to the fridge.
"Why don't you try to put a bit more effort tonight Naomi" Tiffany laughed as I sprawled on her bed while Julie went over to Tiffany and started doing her make-up. I rolled my eyes at her and put my head face down on the comforter and groaned. So maybe it wasn't the best attire in Vegas to be wearing jeans and a bikers jacket in summer. So she was right. I just never liked admitting it. It had always been my go-to outfit whenever I went out in New York.
Another mate of ours, Maggie, threw something on my back. I pulled myself up and grabbed whatever she had thrown at me and dragged myself to the bathroom. I threw off practically everything I had on bar the underwear and slipped on the dress.
"Thanks Mags, you know I wouldn't want the tits hanging out" I smiled when she peeked her head in the bathroom. I mean, I was lacking in that department but I'd rather have people looking at my face rather than my chest all night.
I swept some of my hair behind me and tilted my head at my reflection. Okay, so it was nice to look pretty for once as I turned and looked at myself again. You'd think I'd never seen my own reflection before. I folded up my clothes and went to put them away and as soon as I came out of the bathroom there were a few wolf whistles and I couldn't help but blush.
"Shut up" I drawled as I stuffed my belongings in my suitcase and thats when a flood of knocking on our door erupted. I sat on the bed as Maggie handed me my heels for the night and I proceeded to put them on as Tiffany went to the door and was greeted by Kaleb followed by a small entourage of his boys.
Greg-o was the loud-mouth of the group and shouted "holy shit Ni" as he almost tackled me on the bed as I finished putting on my heels.I laughed as I could smell the vodka on his breath as he pretended to try and pull me under the covers with him. We laughed as he rolled off me and went to the mini bar to grab two beers, one of which he popped and handed to me.
"Sup tomboy" Pete eyed me as he walked past me and began hugging all the girls. I rolled my eyes at him and took a sip of my drink before getting up and saying hi to the other boys. I didn't even bother replying as Greg-o sat back down on the bed and pulled me onto his lap.
"How the honest fuck do we keep you looking this tidy Ni?" Greg laughed as I gave him a jab in the ribs and then slung my arm over his shoulder as I shrugged mine. Greg and I had tried getting together but we soon realised we were too good of friends that we didn't want to ruin what we already had. It was a unique situation for sure but we both knew we weren't meant to be.
