I squeeze her hand one last, attempting to reassure her, one last time. Here we are. The final battle. The last fight. Two humans, a spider-boy and a witch against a God. Not all of us were going to come out of this alive.

"Y/n, you ready?" Nat asks, checking her ammo one last time. I nod, words seem pointless here. "Everyone clear on the plan?" I ask looking at them. Wanda nods, "Peter's gone to do a perimeter check he'll be back soon but we need to go now."

Screw butterflies, my stomach is filled with rocks.

"Okay, this is for everyone we've lost. Pietro. Steve. Vision. Tony," for a second, I don't say anything, we'd already lost so many people I didn't know why we kept fighting, "we know how to stop Loki, we just have to get close enough. We were lucky to get this potion off of Tony and Bruce before they-"

I look over at Wanda begging her to speak for me and she quickly does, "yeah, we got it. Come on guys. Avengers.."

"Assemble."

We say it in unison, reminding each other we're a team. And as we do Peter comes back from the perimeter check, making our small army whole.

"For the record, this is our dumbest plan yet," Nat says.
"Yeah, I'm pretty proud of it," I respond, letting out a nervous laugh, "see you on the other side."

We brace ourselves against the doors of the old warehouse. Sharing a few last remorseful looks we push the heavy doors open.

Here's to risking everything we have left...
