I walk into school, once again stopping for security. I throw my bag over my shoulder and continue to walk into school. A few people stopped me to say hello, but it was a short encounter.

I see a line of cobras sitting along a wall and my eyes are met with a familiar pair belonging to a particular red-haired boy. He straightens up and he starts to stand up. I roll my eyes and quickly turn around and walk in the other direction.

"Cassie wait-" I feel him grab my hand. I rip it away and turn to face him. "Don't-" I shout and look around to see if anyone was looking.

Luckily, everyone was too caught up in their own conversations to notice. I look back up at Hawk and in a quieter voice I sternly say, "Just don't." I turn back around and walk away, leaving him in the middle of the hallway.

I quickly walk through the crowded hallway in hopes of getting to class without anymore confrontation. I turn the corner and collide into someone with such force that we both go down.

"I'm so sorry I-" I sit up and see Leo holding his chest. "Leo?...I-I'm so sorry." I get back on my feet and hold my hand out to him. He takes it and I use all my strength to help him up. He stands up and I look down at the books he dropped. "Here, let me-" I say bending down to pick them up. He must've had the same idea as our heads hit. I stand straight, holding my head while Leo laughs and picks up his books.

"How cliche was that?" I ask rubbing the sore spot on my head. "Yeah, well you're not the first girl to fall for me." He says and I cringe. He notices and scrunched his nose. "Too cheesy?" He asked and I nod. "Yeah, just a little." I joke and he laughs.

"Where are you going in such a rush?" He asked and I shake my head. "Just gym." He gives me a suspicious look and says. "Ok, and who are you running from?" He asks.

I sigh and he narrows his eyes to indicate that he was listening. "Just Hawk." I say and he nods. "Hawk? That's your boyfriend right?" Before I can answer someone steps in front of me. "Yeah, so back off."

Hawk stood between me and Leo. "Don't think I was asking you, buddy." Leo smirks stepping forward. I see Hawk ball his fists up to the point where his knuckles were turning white. "Okay..." I quickly move between them before another fight broke out.

"Hawk, just go." I say and he looks down at me with softer eyes. "But I really need to talk to you." He says and I feel Leo pressed up against me as he steps forward again. "She asked you to leave."

Hawk's eyes flicker with rage and I press my hand against his stomach. "Hawk, go." I say forcefully. He glances between me and Leo and scoffs before storming off. I sigh as the bell rings. "You need me to walk you to class?" Leo asks and I shake my head. "No, I'll be fine. See you later." I pat his shoulder before walking to the locker room.

I close the locker door and groan in irritation as I pull down my gym shorts. "You too?" I look over to see Sam smiling down at my shorts. I look down to see that her's were pretty short too. "Yeah, I don't understand why the school makes us wear these short-ass uniforms." I complain as I pull on them again. We had different teachers but we both had gym for the sixth period.

"Well..." She leans to the side. "They make your butt look good at least." She shrugs and I laugh. "Sam LaRusso are you flirting with me?" I ask raising an eyebrow at her. She laughs and we walk out together.

"So, I saw you talking to the new guy. What's going on there?" She asks and I laugh as she nudges my shoulder. "Nothing." I say and she raises her brows at me. "Nothing I swear" I say smiling and she nods, still not believing me. "I mean why not? He's hot!" She says and I shush her. "Yeah, he's hot but I just broke things off with Hawk." I say and her smile fades.
