"You see anything..?" Mikoto whispered as Osamu peeked around a corner of an alleyway.
"No..All deserted.. as usual.. heh.. really weird eh?" Osamu chuckled. "This is just like a zombie appocalypse movie.. funny."
Mikoto felt like so much of a burden right now.. having to have Osamu carry her like this... but still.. she needed to concentrate on staying alive.. "Osamu.. is.. is there any hope for everybody else? Like.. if they're zombies.. they aren't..."
"No.. they're not dead." said Osamu. "Giselle used to zombify corpses and nearly dead people.. but now she's gotten so strong that she doesn't need to kill anyone or reduce one to near death to zombify them. All they need to do is come into contact with her blood.. As for breaking her control, I don't know how to do that except perhaps to maybe kill Giselle."
Mikoto's eyes flashed with anger. "Well.. if that's the only way.. I'm not above doing that.."
"That's some nice spunk you have there." said Osamu. "But you aren't going to be fighting or killing anybody with your legs and powers still the way they are.."
"What are we going to do..?" Mikoto asked.
"We're going to perform an X Brace Convergence." said Osamu.
"X Brace Convergence?"
"It's where we toggle the X Brace to recieve all your emotions at once.. and revive your full Hollow, Dragon, and Esper abilities." said Osamu. "This isn't about curing the curse of being a Lost One, or just regaining your powers.. this is about becoming powerful enough to survive and save everyone.."
"Wait!!" Mikoto said. "Why haven't we tried this before!? If we could gain all my powers at once.. then why!?"
"Because this technique doesn't truly regain your abilities." said Osamu. "Rather, it'll give the X Brace the ability to mimic your original abilities.. it will BECOME your powers.. and not only that, you will regain your true powers after you remove the X Brace a month from now.."
"So a 50 percent chance of immitaion powers, with my real abilities returning a month from now.. or a 50 percent chance of my body being shredded to complete pieces." said Mikoto. "Eh.. I've faced worse odds."
Osamu grinned. "No kidding! Shall we get started..? I can activate the X Brace's convergence sequence with a slight electrical impulse.."
Mikoto's eyes flashed with determination. "Do it.."

An entire horde of zombies marched out through the streets, as Night Reveler strolled at their head, looking casual and chuckling sinisterly.
"Marco!!!" Night Reveler yelled out. "MARCO!!! Marco? Marco marco marco marco marco marco marco!?"
"POLO!!!!" A thin glowing purple line shot through the air and exploded into a powerful blast of purple lightning right in the middle of the horde of zombies, blasting them back along with Night Reveler.
"HAH!! LOVE THAT RESPONSE!!!" Night Reveler spiralled around in the air and stopped, levitating upsidedown in a crosslegged position. "NICE!! Gotta LOVE how that sneak attack went! Only next time, try something a little wittier!"
Osamu stood before the horde of zombies with a grin on his face. "Sorry about that.. but I'm not really intent on looking for you in particular ya clown. I'm looking for the big cheese of the zombies.. where's Giselle?"
"Hmm.. if you can tell me what's Big Red, and eats rocks! Then I'll tell ya!!"
"A Big Red Rock Eater?"
