Previously On Far Away:
Chloe got the same schedule as Thomas so they will be in the exact same classes. They had gym class and played dodgeball as a punishment since they arrived late. Chloe ended up winning the game for her team and got a weird warning from the other girls to stay away from Thomas and his best friend Dylan.
And That's What You Missed On Far Away.----------------------------------------------
The rest of the school week was normal and boring. History class sucked, food was good and Jake was a pain. Dylan and the others invited us to a party on Friday and I'm being forced to go.
"It will be fun!" Thomas persisted "a great way to meet new people, to start your 3 months in London."
"Thomas, leave it. She's just so anti-social. Like a mouse." Jake said, glancing up from his phone.
"Fine I'll go. But only because I don't want to be compared to a mouse." and that's also how I got my nickname from Thomas.
Now, here I am, standing in front of the mirror, clothing strewn all over the floor, with a hopeless expression on my face.
"Chloe!" Thomas knocks on my door. "You ready?"
"Just a minute!" I call back, heaving a huge sigh. What am I going to wear.
"What's taking you so long?" He replied from the other side of the door.
"Dunno what to wear." I shrug, even though he can't see me.
"Let me in." Thomas insists. And I do, making sure my white bathrobe was tied tightly around my waist. "Woah! What happened in here?"
"Oh, the usual tornado that comes around every time I have to dress up nice." I say, looking around the messy room myself.
"Okay," he starts to survey the room. "Try this on" he says, tossing me a lace dress with a thick black belt.
"Alright. OUT!" I point to the door and Thomas leaves to wait outside.
I quickly get changed and I put my hair up into a messy-yet stable-bun. I apply mascara and eyeliner and open the door for Thomas. His eyes widen and he scans me up and down. I give a mock spin and smile. "So?"
️Thomas shakes his head, as if coming out of a daze which makes me blush. "Sorry I uh.... You look amazing!" That makes me blush even harder.
"Th-thanks."
"Hurry up love birds! I don't wanna be late!" I hear Jake call. I look at ️Thomas who shrugs so I follow him out my bedroom door, grabbing a black purse with my makeup and phone in it.
"Come on little mouse!" Thomas calls and I glare at him from behind.

'Knock knock knock'
The door opens revealing Dylan with tousled hair. "Ayyyye! You made it! Come on come in!" He gestures inside, leaving plenty of room for Thomas, Jake and I.
The moment I get inside I stop dead in my tracks. Dylan's house is packed with people, the majority of whom I've never even met. Music is blaring through large speakers, making even my thoughts hard to hear.
I feel a warm hand on my back and I turn sharply to see Thomas. "Don't worry little mouse," he whispers in my ear but I can hear the sarcasm in his voice "nothing's gonna hurt 'ya"
I step forwards and Thomas walks past me, into the crowd. I can't believe he abandoned me like that. "C'mon Chloe!" Dylan pushes past me "loosen up a bit!"
I sigh, knowing that things are just going to get worse from here, and I step into the crowd of bodies, deciding to try and find someone I know.
And the mouse enters the mouse trap
-•-
I sit on the stairs leading up to Dylan's stairs. This is exactly why I didn't want to come. I hate parties. I hate social events. They just make me feel so small and helpless. Maybe I am just like a mouse.
I found Thomas a while ago, dancing with a girl named Isabelle who I just learned is his girlfriend. Wow, you can live with a guy for a week and still find out more about him at a party.
"Chloe!" I hear a slurred voice and I look up to see Jake "come 'n dance!"
I stand up, shocked "Jake have you been drinking!" I yell over the music.
"Yeeeep!" He says with a huge smile on his face.
"That's it we're going home! Stay here I'm getting Thomas!" I run off ranting on and on about parties and under age drinking and the whole bit.
I finally spot Thomas sitting on the couch next to Isabelle and Dylan. "Thomas! We're-" but just before I could get another word out someone grabs me from behind.
And snap goes the mouse trap
"Ew! Let go of me!" I slap the person's arms but they keep on dragging me back onto the makeshift dance floor. "LET ME GO!" I start kicking but I only get turned around to face my captor.
One of Dylan's friends, a member of the football team, is holding me tightly in his strong grip. "D-daaaance with me" he slurs.
"NO!" I shriek "LET. ME. G-" but before I could finished the football player goes flying to the floor. His nose starts to bleed and he clutches his jaw.
"Don't touch her." I turn to see Thomas, glaring down at the boy, looking terrifying. "Come on Chloe, we're leaving."
And the mouse has been set free.
