Return of an old friend

Doubt

the medical droid enters the waiting room where Ahsoka, Hera, Luke, Zeb and Chopper are awaiting for the news they so desperately want.

"I am afraid I have some very bad news" the droid announces to the family 

"what kind of news?" Luke asks concerned for the Jedi and Mandalorian

"Ezra Bridger has only a 5% chance of survival from the injuries and hypothermia, we must immediately take him to surgery to increase his chance of survival, do you consent to this?" the droid says to Hera and the rest 

"yes, I consent to this as long as it has a chance of saving Ezra, what about Sabine?" Hera says back 

"the Mandalorian is fine, she is just resting and is being watched at all times she should be out by the end of the day" the droid says to them 

"can we see Ezra?" Hera asks 

"at the moment we can not allow visitation however when he comes out of surgery you will be permitted to visit" a doctor says to them having heard the conversation

----------6 hours later---------

Sabine wakes up, her eyes scanning the room trying to spot Ezra when she can not see him she starts crying fearing it had all been a dream that they had found her lost friend, Hera comes through the door smiling as she saw Sabine before pulling her in to an embrace 

"Ezra, I still have not found him" Sabine says between her cries 

"Ezra?" Hera says "he is in the room opposite as he just came out of surgery however his chances of survival are very low meaning he may never awaken again" Hera says now fighting to hold back her own tears 

"can we go see him?" Sabine asks now crying even more 

"you should not leave your bed but I will allow you to come see him" Hera says smiling helping Sabine to her feet before they both leave and enter Ezras room 

Sabine starts to get in an even worse state as she sees Ezra there on the bed, his heart rate monitor barely beeping at all. She feared she was looking at the corpse of her closest friend before going up to him, sitting right next to him crying while having a hand placed on him.

Hera comes up to Sabine sitting down next to her "I never thought I would see the great and mighty a Sabine Wren concerned about Ezra, what's wrong?" 

Sabine glares at Hera when she says these words "I love him" these words are heard by Ezra as his heart beat starts to increase to a healthy level where he remains low in the bed.

"Bine?" Ezra calls out to her making her eyes widen in shock

"I am here Ezra, I will always be here" Sabine says now stood holding his hand tighter than ever before 

"I can not feel my right leg" Ezra says concerned 

"you had to undergo surgery due to the amount of scars and cuts on the leg however it will heal" Sabine reassures the young Jedi 

-----a few days later-----

The doctor enters the room where he finds Sabine sleeping on the chair next to Ezra where he quickly proceeds to wake them 

"you may leave the hospital today however I will need to see Ezra in a month to find how he is doing and to check if any more support is needed" the doctor announces to the two as they get up and leave with Sabine guiding Ezra to the Ghost taking him to her bunk placing him in the lower bunk telling him to wait a few minutes while she grabbed some water 

Sabine returns with the water to find Ezra walking around the room, when she enters the room he wraps his arms around her 

"thank you Sabine, for coming to find me" he says while hugging her close
