L/N Y/N confessed to his childhood friend Ushijima Wakatoshi in their 2nd year of high school. But the response broke her heart instantly.
Ushijima: It'll be bothersome... you're distracting me...
Feeling that she might bother Ushijima if she stays...
The new semester is finally started, all of the Shiratorizawa students returned to their dorm after spending a month in their house.
In the end, Y/N didn't visit her own house and stay at Akane's place during her holidays. It seems like, spending time with Akane and having fun in another city, did help her forget about her broken heart. But that's because she hasn't see Ushijima.
But even so, Y/N decided that she wants to act normally around Ushijima, except the plan that she might try to avoid meeting him as much as she could.
Regarding how busy Ushijima is with practice and preparing for their final year, it wouldn't be hard to avoid him because he never approaches her, it's always her who follow him around. So by not approaching him, avoiding him would be easy, at least that's what Y/N thought.
Y/N is trying to find her name on the class assignment. She found out that she's in class four, and Ushijima's name is not in that class.
Not being in the same class with him, makes her feels conflicted. She's happy that it will be easier to avoid him but deep down, she's still sad that she couldn't be with him. Y/N shook her head internally when a familiar voice startling her.
Ushijima: which class are you in?
Y/N looks back to meet with Ushijima's taller figure. Her breath hitches, but she's been telling herself to act normal.

Y/N: I'm in class four Wakatoshi... how about you?
Ushijima stares at the girl in front of him as she acts normal in his thought but it doesn't feel right.
Ushijima: I'm in class three...
Y/N: I see...
There's an awkward silence between the two. Then Y/N looks up at Ushijima.
Y/N: well, I'll go to my class now... bye Wakatoshi...
Ushijima flinches when she said "bye", it's not what she used to say. She always said "see you later Wakatoshi" or "I'll see you around". Ushijima reaches out a hand and caught Y/N's arm before she leaves, make the girl turn her head and looks at him.
Ushijima: I'm sorry... I hurt you... I didn't mean to be that harsh...
Y/N: I know you didn't...
Ushijima stares at the girl in front of him, as she looks at him with a smile that looks kind of sad.
Y/N: I know you didn't mean to hurt me Wakatoshi... so you don't need to worry okay, I'm not mad at all...
Y/N gently pulls her arm away from Ushijima.
Y/N: well, better go to class now... bye Wakatoshi...
This time Ushijima just watches as his childhood friend heading to her class. Getting further from him.
