"Sure you can handle this, it's nothing I've let you face before but if your going to be living on his camp, you'll have to learn to deal with it" Levi spoke completely serious, his eyes staying ahead of them as they would soon be facing their first problem. 

"Let's do this" Mikasa replied determined, tying the bit of cloth around her mouth to stop herself from breathing in much dust. 

Levi gave a nod, passing over the broom he held for her while she finished dying the bandana around her face, holding a bucket and rags in his other hand for him to use.

Both storming into the main building, this one building held the meeting rooms, the commander office along with all the Captain offices as well. It was the main building of the camp and it held all the important files as well. 

But for now, Levi and Mikasa was on their own mission .. Cleaning. 

The building was fifthly and if they weren't allowed to clean their own barracks than they'll clean the rest of the camp.

Levi dressed in his uniform, leaving his jacket and cape back on his bed for now and he wore a tired bit of cloth around his neck to pull over his mouth and nose once they start cleaning. A white bit of cloth tied on his head keeping his hair out of his eyes and stop any dirt or dust falling into it. Mikasa dressed beside him in a pure white long sleeve dress given to her by Moblit who picked up a bit of supplies for her when he went into the town yesterday. Cloth tied around her hair like Levi and she wore her old pair of boots giving up on the girly shoes the old man gave her. 

Both stepping inside, working at the opposite end of the building first and cleaning away. Helping one another for the bits they couldn't reach and glaring towards any soldier who went to step in a clean area they worked on why wearing muddy shoes. 

Mikasa purposely flung the wet rag in her hands towards Erwin office door a little as they worked on the hall outside. Levi lifting an eyebrow as Mikasa was carefully placing a cup above the door once Mike stepped inside to speak with Erwin. Mikasa acting innocently once she caught Levi staring and went back to using the broom, Levi just nodding his head amused not caring if they had to clean up the water later. 

Levi turned as the door opened both Erwin and Mike standing splashed by the single cup of water and Mikasa had the cheek to carry on wiping the windows clean opposite before looking over her shoulder. Lifting the dry cloth and wiping at Erwin jacket a little.

"You might need this" Mikasa commented, passing it over to the commander before walking over to the broom and walking to the next spot to start cleaning. 

Levi stayed silent, picking up the bucket and following behind to clean the last lot of the windows that he didn't even know how the sunlight could shine through them. They were filthy, he's seen windows in the underground less dirty then the ones in this base and it was horrifying. 

They finished cleaning, rather proud of their days worth of cleaning, Levi looking over the floors and windows as they stared heading towards the entrance door.  Both coming to a stop once they got outside and looking around at all the soldiers passing. Both pulling the clothes down to their necks while leaving the one on their heads on.

"You'll be leaving the walls tomorrow" Mikasa commented, breaking their content silence as they just looked to the view of the camp around them. 

"Worried?" Levi asked as he glanced to her, noticing her shake her head.

"You'll return, you'll all return. It's going to be just fine. You have your skills, Furlan has his brain and Isabel is annoying enough that heaven doesn't want her just yet" Mikasa muttered back, her hands gripping the broom handle a little.

"It's okay to be worried, we'll be facing titans. The things that kept us trapped us these walls, we knew how to survive in the underground and we knew how to fight against people but outside those walls .. it's unknown to us" Levi replied, his voice low but soft as he glanced to the cloudy sky above them.

"It's not the titans I'm worried over" Mikasa admitted as she lowered her head a little. 

"We'll return, just watch us. We'll escape these walls, complete our job and come straight back to you. We'll reach your old farm, grow our own strawberries and wash the hell out of them before trying them just to find out they're the best strawberries ever made. So, just have faith in us .. we've survived worse" Levi promised, stroking the ends of Mikasa hair as he looked to her.

"I'll be waiting, waiting to hear what outside of the walls are like" Mikasa mumbled shyly, keeping her eyes on the sky as Levi nodded. 

"Now come on, we best get back to the barracks before Furlan goes into mother mode" Levi joked and started walking once more, Mikasa following behind with a skip in her step. 

"Are you sure about this?" Hanji asked as she watched from the window, just watching as Mikasa and Levi headed back to the barracks. A frown on her lips as she was unsure over tomorrow game plan. 

"Tomorrow fate will be in their own hands, not ours" Erwin answered without much care.

"But .. they're only trying to spread their wings. A citizenship isn't easy to gain for people like them. They're only trying to reach for the better life, even Levi .. he's doing all this for her not himself. He's trying to give her a chance in life, one he didn't have" Hanji commented, crossing her arms over her stomach as she felt guilt grow within her.

"If she's the reason he'll go this far than we'll use her to our advantage" Erwin replied coldly making Hanji lower her head. 

"She's only a child" Hanji snapped back as she looked over her shoulder to her commander.

"She's twelve years old, she's old enough to join up as a soldier if she wishes. She's no child, not in my eyes at least, she's as bad as Levi himself but she still holds cards to play unlike him" Erwin huffed back as he started to walk away.
