When Hermione woke up the next morning, she saw a bouquet of roses on the table beside her bed with a note saying:'Good Morning Sunshine! Hope your day will be filled with happiness! -DLM'
“DLM?” Hermione questioned herself.
Hermione was amazed.
That was the first time she had a secret admirer.
When she stopped thinking about the roses, she took a bath and dressed up.
She rushed down for breakfast.
She also asked Hannah about the initials written on the card.
“Hmmm… DLM?-” Hannah thought to herself.
“-sorry Hermione, but I don’t know anyone in Hogwarts who has those initials but-” Hannah continued.
“But what?” Hermione interrupted her.
“-about the D and M, I think I know someone with those initials.” Hannah continued.
“Who?” Hermione said.
“Well, DRACO MALFOY.” Hannah answered.
“WHAT?! Why would Draco give me roses? and besides he’s initials are only DM… not DLM.” Hermione said.
“Well, it was just a guess.” Hannah said.
“But anyway, I’m happy for you. You have a secret admirer.” Hannah teased Hermione.
“Hannah!! But I don’t even who this person is.” Hermione shouted.
“That’s the point you dimwit! It’s called secret admirer because you don’t know who that person is. Must every girl be stupid when it comes to love?” Hannah said.
“I guess your right…” Hermione said.
They finished their chat and Hermione went to the Gryffindor Common Room to lead the students to the great hall.
“First Years please follow me. You will now witness a Quidditch game for the very first time at Hogwarts.” Hermione said to the first years.
“YEEEEEEEY!!!” The first year students shouted.
Hermione led them to the Quidditch Court.
When everyone was seated, Hermione went at the back to study for a while.
She stopped reading and glanced back and forth. To her amazement, she saw Draco stare at her for 3 seconds which made her puzzled.
She remembered what Hannah told her during breakfast.
“Hermione! Hermione!” Ginny called out.
“Huh? Oh hi Ginny.” Hermione said.
“Is something wrong? You were staring into space before.” Ginny asked.
“No. Nothing.” Hermione answered.
“Well, alright.” Ginny said.
“So, Ginny, do you know anyone in Hogwarts who has DLM as his initials?” Hermione asked.
“Well, no, why?” Ginny answered.
“Well-” Hermione said.
They talked about how Hermione had a secret admirer for about an hour.
“Blimey Hermione! I’m happy for you.” Ginny shouted.
“Thanks Ginny.” Hermione said.
“Alright, see you later. I’ll wait for you in the Gryffindor Common Room. We’ll have a girl’s night.” Ginny said.
“See you tonight.” Hermione said.
During Hermione and Ginny’s chat, Draco was eavesdropping.
He was happy that Hermione wouldn’t be in her room tonight. That means he can leave another gift for her which made him so happy.
Draco kept on looking at Hermione.
His face had a smile and his heart was beating fast.
He then knew that Hermione was the girl his dreamed of.
