Chapter 10: Love Potions are no match for True Love

It has never occurred to Draco that Hermione was liked by many, especially by boys.

There’s this guy named Dean who had feelings for Hermione and he was obsessed with her.

INFATUATION. That’s what he felt towards Hermione.

Dean Thomas was desperate. Pansy knew about this and she influenced Dean to create a LOVE POTION.

He was easily influenced by Pansy to create this potion.

They planned to put the potion in Hermione’s drink during lunch break.

They created the potion and they were lucky that Hermione was not in the prefect’s common room.

They poured the potion in Hermione’s cup and left.

After a few seconds Hermione went back to eating and she drunk the juice that was enchanted by the love potion.

After 10 seconds, Hermione felt dizzy.

Draco accompanied her to her room and laid her in bed.

Draco stayed by her bedside until Hermione was awake.

When Hermione woke up, Draco immediately hugged her and asked if she was okay.

However, Hermione didn’t recognize him and asked him: “Where am I? Why isn’t Dean here? Please take me to him. I want to see him.”

“But Mione, I’m here. So why look for Dean when I, your BOYFRIEND am here with you?” Draco muttered.

Hermione looked puzzled. “BOYFRIEND? But Dean is the person I love. Not you. And besides I don’t even know you.” Hermione said.

“HERMIONE? What happened to you? Have you forgotten what you told me last night?” Draco said as a tear fell down his cheek.

“Whaaaa-” Just when Hermione was going to say something, Dean went inside the room.

“DEAN!” Hermione shouted. “Who in the world is this guy? He keeps on telling me that he is my boyfriend.” Hermione said.

“He’s no one.” Looks at Draco. “Leave now! Don’t bother us!”

“What have you done with her?!” Draco said furiously.

“Just leave us! Don’t bother us. We’re in love and there’s nothing you can do about it!” Dean said to Draco.

As Draco left the room, Hermione’s head began to hurt and little by little the potion’s effect was weakening.

“Dra…co” Hermione said weakly.

Draco rushed to Hermione’s aid but Dean pushed him away.

“Just leave! Hermione’s mine!” Dean shouted.

“Dean, don’t be so desperate. Everyone knows that Hermione and I are together. Stop fooling around!” Draco shouted.

Hermione opened her eyes, slowly adjusting to the light of the room. She saw Draco’s worried face and Dean’s horrified face.

Hermione looked at Dean and in an instant; Dean had an evil smirk on his face.

Dean went to hug Hermione but she pushed his hands away.

“I remember now.” Hermione said. “That’s why the juice I drunk tasted weird. That was because a love potion was mixed into it. You!”

Hermione glared at Dean and put out her wand. “How dare you do that to me?! Who do you think you are?”

“I-I-I’m s-sorry Hermione.” Dean’s face was full of fear since he knows that Hermione is the brightest witch in Hogwarts. She can conjure almost all the spells.

“Stupefy!” Hermoine zapped her wand at Dean and he fell unconscious on the floor.

Hermione rushed to Draco’s arms and gave him a bone crushing bear-hug.

“I love you Draco and no love potion or enchantment can change that!” Hermione exclaimed.

“I love you too Hermione. Always and Forever!” Draco’s voice was full of love and admiration. He is truly, madly, deeply in love with Hermione.

Draco stared lovingly at Hermione. His gaze went from her eyes to her lips.

“They say that opposites attract, right?” Draco said. Hermione nodded her head. “I believe it to be true.”

“Thanks to you, I chose the good side and I know now what love is.” Draco continued.

“Draco, you are everything to me. I love you.” Hermione said.

Draco kissed her and she kissed him back.
