Unexpected Love

Chapter 5: Draco Discovered!

Just when Draco thought that his plan would work, his smile turned to a slight frown.

When he entered Hermione's room, Hermione was there, although she was asleep.

Draco didn't lose hope.

He sneaked in quietly and placed the gift on the table beside Hermione's bed.

However, just as he was leaving Hermione woke up and shouted.

She aimed her wand at him and said: "Petrificus Totalus!"

She turned on the light and to her surprise, she saw Draco Malfoy in her room.

"Finite!" Hermione unleashed a spell to remove the petrifying spell.

"Draco? What do you think your doing?" Hermione asked.

"Well, actually... I-I came to leave another present for y-y-you..." Draco answered.

"Another? That means you're DLM! Aren't you?" Hermione shouted.

"We-well yes." Draco answered.

"But why DLM?" Hermione asked.

"That's because my full name is DRACO LUCIUS MALFOY." Draco answered.

"You're mad at me aren't you?" Draco asked.

"Draco, why would I be mad at you?" Hermione said.

Draco was really nervous when Hermione caught him.

"Well then I'll be leaving." Draco said.

"Wait! First tell me why you've been giving me presents." Hermione said.

Draco couldn't speak. His heart was beating so fast.

Hermione crossed her arms and raised her left eyebrow.

"Draco! I'm waiting." Hermione said.

"I-I-I love you..." Draco whispered to Hermione's ear.

Hermione gasped and looked at Draco's eyes. He wasn't lying. Draco was telling the truth.

"You love me? But why?" Hermione said. She was puzzled.

"Well, since first year... I've been fancying you... I just kept on teasing you so that you'll notice me even though I was already hurting your feelings." Draco muttered.

"Well, isn't that interesting?" Hermione said.

"You may leave now..." Hermione squeaked.

"There's something else I'd like to give you-" Draco said.

Draco looked at Hermione's eyes and got closer to her.

After a second Draco's nose touched her nose. Draco started to lean closer to her and without any second thoughts, he kissed her and she kissed him back.

Hermione was amazed with herself. She never thought that she would kiss him back willingly.

"Hermione..." Draco whispered.

"I'm going back to my room-" Draco said.

"O-Ok... See you in class..." Hermione replied. She was blushing and couldn't look into Draco's eyes.

"-good night!" Draco continued.

"Stop!" Hermione shouted.

Hermione came closer to him and kissed him on his forehead.

"Thanks for everything Draco." Hermione said and giggled.

Draco blushed and hugged her...

Hermione hugged him back...

"Let's forget the past and be friends..." Hermione said.

They shaked hands and said good night to each other...

Draco went out of her room and went back to his own room...

He kept on jumping and had a huge smile on his face.

The day ended leaving a smile on Draco's face.
