Deku POV:

"Midoriya! Come check this out!"

A tired Deku stepped into the common space. The others were huddled around the TV. The news broadcast was on.

"What is it?" Deku sat down on the couch between Uraraka and Iida. It was noticeably cramped, as the whole class was watching. Even Kachan was watching from the back. Initially, it had only been a few of the guys who were bored, flipping through the TV channels. But a certain headline caught their eye, and the others soon were hooked as well.

Cameras show a series of bodybags. There had to be dozens. There were police photographing the area. The place was red and blue from the sirens going off. A man was being questioned by a hero who had shown up. The camera moved back to a reporter commenting on the scene.

"Several men have been found dead in the city of Tokyo, Japan. According to paramedics at the site, all of them seem to have died from heart attacks. These men were all members of one of the local gangs in the city. There was only one surviving man left in the scene, Shiroma Masaru, who previously was unconnected to the diseased, but was on record for a court hearing regarding a series of stabbing years past. Here we have a hero on the scene, who has some shared history with the man in question."

"Oh yeah, I  heard about that case. Apparently, he had been arrested by that hero, Ricochet." Kaminari remembered.

"The bouncy hero? I know him! He can turn his body in a bouncy ball, and bounce off any surface really fast!" Deku pulled out his notebook, reminiscing the dramatic showdown between the hero and the criminal he had taken down years ago. 

"How did this happen?" The hero demanded.

"Did you do this? Who was involved?" The hero shook the man, who remained silent. 

All of a sudden the man pulled out a knife of of his trench coat. The hero quickly tackled him, but the man sliced his own hand, and tried to write down something while the hero pinned him down. The camera zoomed in on the ground during the commotion. It was one word.

Kira

"From the English word killer." Deku was thinking. 

The hero started yelling at the man, who know was completely empty of emotion. The man was approached by the police with handcuffs in hand, when the man suddenly started to cough up blood. He clutched at his chest, and fell on his knees. He then completely collapsed.

"Oh my god! Someone get a paramedic!" The reporter cried out.

Meanwhile, the audience was upset at the incident.

"The hell was that about? He just died!" Kachan yelled.

"It could be a villain's quirk." Todoroki joined the conversation.

"That's scary!" Uraraka shuddered. Everyone else agreed.

"That's right, there's no way all those heart attacks happening at once is a coincidence." Deku began writing down notes on this "Kira" and what he could do.

"No way! Giving anyone he wants a heart attack? That's totally overpowered!" Mineta was shaking with anxiety.

For once, the class agreed with the little hero.

Light POV:

Class had begun. They were in a fake city. Light pretended to be as shocked as everyone else when they had discussed the events on the news. Ryuk had been watching the news alongside the class, and was now giggling uncontrollably.
