"I heard there's a new student joining the class!" A pink girl gossiped.
News had spread fast. The class discussed the possible student, and what they might be like.
"Is it a girl?" A purple boy asked.
"No, perv."
"Well I'm sure he will make a fine addition to our class." A boy in glasses chopped at the air.
"Pfft, unlikely. He came here with a broken arm. Doubt he can even fight."
The angry blond boy laughed. He had his feet up on his desk, much to the frustration of the boy in glasses. His remark quickly got the attention of his classmates.
"Don't be so quick to judge, Kachan!" A green haired boy complained.
"Why are you always so mean, Bakugou?" A girl with pink cheeks joined.
"Midoriya, I heard that you're the one who brought him here, right?" A frog girl asked.
"Ohmygosh really? What's he like? Is he hot?" The pink girl gushed.
"I just found someone who looked like he needed help, guys. Not that big of deal."
"I'd appreciate it if the class could shut up. Thank you."
The class quickly got quiet at the presence of their teacher. He sighed, more tired than usual. He stuck his hand out of the sleeping bag to point to the entrance of the room. A young man in his uniform stood, analyzing the room.
"I would like to introduce you to our new student. Everyone meet Light Yagami."
Light stepped into the room. He smiled in a friendly yet confident manner. He adjusted his tie.
"He totally is!" The pink girl squealed.
"What a hypocrite." The purple boy grumbled.
"It is a pleasure to meet you all. I look forward to working with each and every one of you."
"At least he takes his education seriously." The boy in glasses said.
"It's nice to meet you Yagami-san!"
"Please, that's what they called my dad. Just call me Light."
Light laughed internally. Now it is time to advance. Just act casual.
"Now that I introduced myself, may I get to hear your names?"
The ultimate advantage. He will have all their names, and he will have the edge.
"I'm Mina Ashido!" The pink girl giggled.
"I am Tenya Iida, the class representative! I welcome you to our class with open arms!"
"Shoto." Hmm. A quiet one? He'll have to get his last name later.
"I'm Toru Hagakure!" An invisible girl? She definitely will be a challenge. He needs a face and a name. With no face, will she be immune to the Death Note? It will be fine. He'll find a way. He always does.
"I'm Katsuki Bakugou, and don't even think about competing with me!"
The rest of the class introduced itself, save for one.
"We've already met, but my name is Izuku Midoriya! I'm glad to hear you'll be with us!"
"Thank you everyone. I'm happy to meet all of you. Now-"
Light looked at all the filled seats.
"Where do I sit?"
"We brought in an extra desk and chair. Place it wherever you want. I don't care."
"I got it!" The pink cheeked girl- Uraraka, touched the desk, and it began levitating.
Light laughed in awe. He clapped at her power.
"Levitation? That's an awesome quirk!"
"Aw, thanks!" The girl gave a bright smile.
The class eventually decided to place his desk behind Midoriya's.
"Why there?" Asked the gravity girl.
"Why do you want to know? You jealous?" Light smirked, looking at an oblivious green haired boy.
"A-ah! It's not like that! I was just curious! That's all there is to it!" The girl's cheeks were red now.
Light gave a good natured laugh.
"It's fine! It's just that, well, I've always loved the window seat. It's good luck."
"O-oh I see. Like, superstition?" The girl asked, now recovering from the emotional attack.
"You could say that." His eyes turned back, watching the demon inspecting everyone.
"I like your new friends, Light. They're all oh so interesting."
"Now that's settled. Everyone, back to your seats. We've got another lesson. Yagami, I expect you to do some extra work to catch up with the rest of the class." Sensei spoke up, and everyone got busy.
Light nodded, but his mind drifted off as the gears in his head turned. He was formulating a plan.
"What'cha thinking Light? You got a plan already?"
"Ryuk, I told you. We can't talk in class." Light whispered urgently.
He took out a normal notebook, and began writing there. A message for Ryuk.
I do have a plan, to make sure nobody in here is immune to the Death Note. The invisible girl, she's already a threat, though a small one. More like an obstacle. With no face, there's nothing I can do. I don't know if your eyes would be of help anyway. But there's a community activity the class is planning. I've looked at the class schedule. I'm sure if there was a little "accident" and I were to maybe spill some paint, then I would have a face to go with. But I'm not particularly worried about her.
"Ohhh, cool. You always come up with the best ideas."
Indeed. After all, he was Kira. Tomorrow, he will move forward. But first, he would use the night. There was something he had to do. Something very important.
He crumpled up his message and shoved it in his bag. He would burn it later.
