"Having finally made his dream a reality, he was overwhelmed. Both by the magnitude of his achievement and by the joy and happiness that it had brought him." Light read in perfect English.

"That's pretty rad English, Yagami! Keep it up!" Present Mic exclaimed. This guy sure was loud.

They were in English class, and it was time to turn in their assignments soon. They first would do some English practice reading literature, then they would present their essays. Half the class would present today. The rest the following day. Light thought back to when it was assigned a couple of days ago.

"By the way class, I expect from all of you a totally awesome essay. We're gonna presenting on your most treasured values. What is it about your beliefs of the world that make you do what you do? I wanna hear what you think!"

What was it that Light Yagami valued? It was obvious from the start. What had he fought for his whole life? What did he die for? But he decided to wait for some of the other students to go first.

Iida valued honor.

Bakugou valued strength.

Uraraka valued kindness.

Midoriya valued helping others.

Suddenly, it was time for Light Yagami to come up. He took a deep breath and stood.

Light went up to announce his beliefs. He faced the crowd. Ryuk stood in the back, giving two thumbs up.

"What is most important to me in this world is justice. There is both good and evil out there, and I believe evil deeds should be punished. That is why I admire the hero community, and I have nothing but the most sincere respect for what they do."

"Oh?" Ryuk tipped his head to the side in curiosity.

"But I can't help but think what they do isn't enough. In this world with quirks, it did not just create heroes, but villains as well. Some may think that quirks have given the side of good an advantage, but I do not believe this is the case. Especially now, after the retirement of the symbol of peace, the crime rate is higher than ever. This world is rotting. Evil only creates more evil, and those who before had no harmful intentions are influenced to join evil by the people around them committing terrible crimes. "

"However, I am optimistic of this class. I believe that this new generation will make a positive difference in the world. What we need now more than ever is change; a step in the right direction. I have faith in my fellow students and heroes can do this."

The class clapped for Light. They approved with his ideals. But would they approve if they found out he was Kira? Probably not. Light gave a small bow and returned to his seat. A few more students got to read their essays. Then the bell began ringing.

"Well that was great! The other half of the class will present their essay tomorrow! Keep it up dudes!"

Light left with the rest of the class. He followed two other students.

"Aw, now I feel stupid about my essay. How am I supposed to top that?" Kaminari whined. He slumped over, dreading the incoming due date.

"Maybe if you didn't pull this all last minute your essay would be more decent." Jirou sighed, fidgeting with one of her jacks.

"You offered to help me!"

"Well the app you sent me isn't compatible on my phone!"

"Well why haven't you gotten a new one already?"

"My jacks doesn't fit in them!"

Light passed by the bickering two, and rummaged in his pockets.

"Hey Jirou, sorry for eavesdropping, but I thought about that. Thought you might appreciate this." He handed something small to the headphone girl.

"Are these... dongles?" They were. They were even colored differently, to match with her skin tone.

"For your jacks. Now you can plug them into a new phone."

"Oh. Uh, thank you. I guess..."

"Hey that's so cool! I can get you a new phone! I'll help you set it up!"

"Huh??" Kaminari took hold of her hand and started to run.

"Come on! There's a tech store close by! It'll be real fast!"

"But what about next class?" Jirou blushed a small bit. Not a lot, but it was there.

"If you hurry I'm sure you'll make it back in time." Light reassured the two.

Light decided to tag along with them. He hated to be a third wheel, but there was something he had to do anyway. He went with them until they reached the tech store.

"I'll leave you two alone. I've got some business of my own."

"See ya man. And thanks for the dongles! Now I can get her a gift! You're my wingman!" Kaminari pumped his fist in the air, but found a jack in his ear. Jirou sighed but cracked a small smile.

"You're annoying me. Anyway, yeah, thanks. Good luck with whatever you're doing."

Light laughed and waved goodbye to them. He walked off, and the smile quickly left his face, with a more serious intent in mind. Ryuk followed close by, floating in the air.

"What are you planning, Light?"

"I wouldn't want to spoil the surprise would I? It wouldn't be very fun." Light stated, a sinister smile creeping up on his face.

"Yeah, I'd probably say the same thing."

Light went to an empty alleyway and unzipped his bag. There lay the helmet he had built.

"It's really going to be a pain to have to build more of these, but this will do for now."

He hid the helmet underneath a dumpster, then pulled out a sheet of paper. He sat down on a box, and began to write down something. He then walked away. Light left the alleyway behind, and headed back to the dorms. His plan would not be stopped now. He pondered what they would think of his latest scheme.

"This world is unique in the sense that nothing is out of the ordinary. Many people have powers that are covered on the news all the time. As of now, the kills have not yet been connected to Kira. But soon that will not be the case. Just keep your eyes open tomorrow. It'll be real interesting."
