"Hey mama!" Julian said coming into bar with the guys.

"Hello my favorite boys."

Over the past year, the guys and I have gotten very close and I now think of the guys as my brothers... Except Fab. I really really like him, but I have no clue how he feels about me. Some days he's constantly flirting with me, others he teases around with me so much that I don't know if he likes me at all. Do I need to act more flirtatious? Or is he subtly trying to tell me that he just wants to be friends? I'm thinking way too much into this. Besides, why am I being such a downer? I should just think of the positive. At least he likes me and I made five new friends.

"Whatcha thinking about?" A voice said directly in my ear and I jumped, startled while Jules, Albert, Nick and Nikolai all laughed.

"What the heck man?!" I said punching Fab playfully.

"Well I've been trying to get your attention for the last two minutes."

"Oh...sorry." I muttered.

"You alright?" Albert asked concerned.

"Yeah you were frowning and then grinning like an idiot." Nick said reaching over the bar to rustle my hair.

"Nick!" I whined and fixed my hair back.

"Well tell us what's on your mind."

I swear he's like an annoying older brother.

"Just thinking about the surprise I have for you guys." I said grinning.

"What kind of surprise? With that grin, I'm sort of afraid to find out." Jules eyed me suspiciously.

"An extremely great surprise! Besides, I'm not like that." I answered and the guys laughed at some kind of inside joke of theirs.

"Guys you're up." Ryan said smiling like an idiot after I told him about the surprise for the guys.

"You're in on it it too?" Albert asked Ryan as they got up.

As they got on the stage, I saw my uncle come up to the bar.

"Hey uncle Jackson! Glad you could come tonight."

"Anything for my favorite niece! Now when are these guys you rave on about going to play?" He asked.

"They should be any minute." I said and sure enough they started a quick sound check.

"So yeah, we're The Strokes and here's a new song inspired by our favorite girl, Y/n." Julian said winking and pointing at me and I looked down as people turned around to look at me.

"So here it is. 'Hard To Explain'." Jules chuckled before he began singing.

"Was an honest man

Asked me for the phone

Tried to take control

Oh, I don't see it that way

I don't see it that way

Oh, we shared some ideas

All obsessed with fame

Says we're all the same

Oh, I don't see it that way

I don't see it that way

Raised in Carolina

"I'm not like that" ...

I cheered the loudest when they were done and the guys all looked at me smiling widely. After singing their last song an hour later, my uncle gave a nod of his approval of the band and the guys came over each giving me a hug.
