"The last words of mine to you,"
She read as the light rain pattered in rue
The red paper sat next to the bowl of blueberries
Her flowing letters resembled the grand wings of dark fairies
"Voices were heard in the chamber you sit in,
Voices that reminded me of their deadly sin."
Her grey eyes settled on the stone-cold words,
Reminiscing about the golden-haired friend who had exited this world.
"The crimes that I faced from my father and mistress,
Were too hideous for my little olive face that deserved a soft caress."
She recalled the rocky shores under her ocean eyes,
The slight scars hidden under her merry lies.
"A little heart that should have been enflamed with joy,
Had changed into an empty, black void."
Her rosy smile was coveted by the shadows underneath,
An obsidian dagger that should have been pulled out of the floral sheath.
"I was sold, beaten, and enslaved like a poor mare,
Oh, how I wish my coat was thick enough to avoid the bleeding from the sharp snares!"
She had poured herself out to this girl who was drenched in sorrow,
Without following the thoughts in the head that seemed so hollow.
"Then a ray of sun entered this garden of winter blue roses,
A raven-haired air beauty to curb this moor of darkness."
She remembered the dances they had done near the marble fountains,
Where she struggled to find these marks of pain.
"But this tumultuous hurricane had never died down,
It is time for me to take off this cumbrous crown."
She wished she had seen the storm behind the bright face,
Now, all she could do was think about her warm embrace.
The thin parchment shook in her delicate hands-
"And as the white crystals of snow settle on the timber,
Promise that your tears will not stain my last letter."
