These poems didn't turn out the way I expected them to.

I started this collection off as just poems about aristocracy, murder, and royalty. But I soon realised that they were not just tales of these imaginary characters I simply thought of. They are personal stories of mine woven into a string of words. They are my experiences projected onto the fictional world I concocted. They are fables that are tied together by the ribbons of reality and fantasy.

Poetry has always been a way for me to voice my thoughts out without explaining a single word. Something that I find the most solace in. And I am sure I am not alone in this.

The Drops of Scarlet follows the surroundings of three women of the past- Cecillia, Bianca, and Lorelai. You will get to know their tales and those around them as you unravel this twisted universe. And you will decide what to make of them.

I would like to thank @WonderfulMiracles for the brilliant cover. I absolutely adore every single element of it!

Note that many of these poems contain mature themes like self-harm, suicide, addiction, and depression. They are in no way glorifying such actions and are simply there to give you a perspective from these characters.  If you think that some of these poems may affect your mind negatively, you are very welcome to skip them. This book is not to harm you in any way shape or form. It is simply to showcase dark themes under a different light. So, I request that if any of you think of taking actions that certain characters in these poems decide to take, which could severely damage you mentally or physically, please get professional help.
