Sorry for the long wait, I had a slight writers' block 🧍🏽‍♀️

"Glowing in the dark
We'll light up Central Park
We're lights that never go out
'Cause you're here with me now"

- glowing in the dark

Worst sleep ever. That is what Melissa could use to describe last night. Why? Simple, no matter how hard she tried she couldn't get his last words out of her mind, or the fact that any time she dared to shut her eyes the image of her cuddled up in his arms insisted on making its way back to her thoughts, making her feel those damn butterfly's and so, so hot all of a sudden.

His scent and warmth were so addictive to her that she wished the sun would just rise already so she could be close to him once again. And how he was sleeping only a few meters away from her, certainly didn't help.

She also couldn't stop wondering what he meant by that last sentence and her imagination went really, really out of control.

This was really unlike her, when she was little, like every other girl, she dreamed of finding her knight in shiny armour and hopefully living a happy life next to her loved one, but growing up around her parents quickly made her mind change, witnessing their disastrous relationship she realized marriage is no fairytale like many believe.

So Mel made a promise to herself, that she would never make the mistake of falling in love, she didn't want to go through what her mother went through next to the piece of trash she had as a father, but there she was, recklessly breaking the promise. Though she had to admit, Cristiano was nothing like Paul, and that's what concerned her, she was falling for him at an unimaginable pace and with each second that went by she found herself desperately wishing to be near him.

She never imagined it was possible to fall for someone this hard over such a short period of time, oh how wrong she was, her body burned from the mere thought of his strong hands on her, and his lips attached to hers making her feel all tingly and hot for him, not to mention her cheeks burning with fervour any time he even spared her a glance. How could he even do that? With one look? Actually, it's one amazingly long heated look, but still...

Damn him for making her heart run a marathon over literally anything.

After she went over what happened yesterday she determined he couldn't be into her like that, she knew she shouldn't get too carried away, he obviously didn't mean it like that at all and it's just her pathetic misery mind playing tricks on her. She should just stop thinking about it and get out of this hotel room already.

Melissa looked at the clock on the nightstand and it was 8 in the morning. The room was still dead quiet telling her Junior and Clary were still asleep. Ms. Dolores hadn't informed her of the exact time they had to depart from the hotel so the only thing left for her to do was guess.

And lastly pray that the entire team was already on their way to Madrid, as much as she wished to see him, she wouldn't know how to react, let alone what to say, was he going to mention what was said the night before or would he just pretend nothing happened and treat her with indifference and ignore her? She didn't know what terrified her the most.

It's surprising how life goes on. the longer she stayed with Cristianos' family, the more normal it seemed. And harder it became imagining one day ever leaving them. Unfortunately, she had become so used to living with them that she feared the day of her farewell approached them.

After stirring and turning under the bedsheets, she gave up and stared at the ceiling, her mind inevitably travelling back to a certain someone. God, how could someone be so handsome? What do other girls even do around him? However, she quickly discarded that thought, realizing how uncomfortable it made her feel.
