More mannerisms

I woke up in the middle of the night to Gemmy and I on the couch. I was on the inside and Gemmy had her arm around me. I snuck out of the hug Gemmy was giving me and went to the kitchen to get some milk.

I walked in and started pouring my milk when mom walked up behind me and quietly said "sweetie, what are you doing up?" I explained to her that I woke up and was thirsty.

She thought for a minute after I took a sip from my milk and said "hey so while your awake I was thinking that when we wake up in the morning we could go and learn some new mannerisms, if you want." I thought about it for a minute and nodded my head to tell her I was ok with that.

She told me to go back to bed after I finished my milk and took my glass. I went over to the couch and got back under Gemmys arm as I fell back asleep. I was too afraid to sleep by myself yet, I was still feeling the judgement from my birth mother a little bit.

When I woke up Gemmy was sitting next to me watching TV while she stroked my hair. I slowly lifted myself into a sitting position and hugged Gemmy. She hugged me back and asked "are you ready to go out today?"

That sentence made me tilt my head and ask what she meant because I thought I was learning mannerisms today. She looked at me and replied with "yes but for what we are doing, we will need to go out."

I was intrigued so I got up and went to my bag of clothes. Gemmy stopped me and told me that I'd be wearing a dress today. I was okay with that so I picked out a pink and white unicorn dress and my white slip ons.

Gemmy stopped me yet again and took out another bag with some white heels, she took the slip ons and put the heels on me. I looked at her and asked "why do I need to wear heels?" To which she explained that I need to learn how to walk in heels if I'm going to be a girl, so I had to wear the heels all day.

I happily agreed and tried to get off the stool to find my balance gone. I started to fall to the ground before Gemmy caught me and lifted me back up telling me to go change. I did as she said no matter how hard it was for me to move.

As I was changing mom walked into the house and I could hear her talking to Gemmy about our plan for the day. When I came out mom had told me that she had ordered everything from our furniture shopping list.

I was very excited about that but wanted to focus on now seeing as if I didn't I was most likely going to face plant.

"How do people walk in these??" I questioned with the short reply of "we learnt the same way you will" they then helped me make my way to the car. I had no idea where we were going but I couldn't fight going there whether I wanted to or not.

When the car stopped I looked outside and saw that we were at the mall again. I was confused because we had already gotten all of my clothes so I asked them what we were doing at the mall. They looked at me and said "well you need to get your nails done and you can't just sit around the house all day, that's not gonna get you used to your heels."

I was surprised by this answer but it made sense so I followed them to the nail salon. When we got there mom scheduled an appointment for all of us and explained that it was my first time getting my nails done.

A lady walked up to me a bit later and told me to follow her so I stumbled in my heels trying my best to follow her. Eventually we got to a chair and she told me to sit down.

She asked what design I wanted on my nails so I thought for a minute and decided that since everything else I had gotten so far was pretty much unicorn themed I asked for a pink and white themed unicorn. She nodded and went to get the nail polish.

While she was gone I noticed Gemmy staring at me out of the corner of my eye. She seemed excited to see me become her sister in every way. This summer was going to be one to remember...

Hey everyone! Decided to cut this into two parts and wanted to ask something. What do you guys think the next female mannerism they should learn is? I'm going to need everyone's help to decide what happens in the story a lot!
