I woke up the next morning to Gemmy stroking my hair with a brush. "Good morning!" Gemmy exclaimed to me, "Today is going to be...packed..." she continued.

I started questioning her about what she meant. "Well...me and mom were thinking...and...do you want to try and get your birth mother's signature today?" She questioned.

I looked at her and said "I don't know...I'm scared to go to her..." Gemmy looked at me and continued to stroke my hair now rubbing my back to help me relax.

"It's ok" she started "If you get too scared while we are there, you can just come hide behind me." I looked at her not sure if she was teasing or for real. "Really?" I asked. "Of course." She replied.

She then got up and soon returned to continue stroking my hair while I ate the pancakes she had brought back. My hair was considerably longer by now because I had been putting hair growth shampoo in that worked amazingly, so she had plenty of hair to stroke.

As I finished up breakfast Gemmy took my plate to wash it and mom came in. Gemmy nodded at her before she continued washing my dish. I looked at mom with fear still in my eyes about seeing my birth mother again.

As much as I tried to hide the fear mom noticed and came to hug me for a little bit while rubbing my back. I have to admit that the back rubbing and hair stroking was helping me calm down although mom tried to stop and get up when I was mostly calmed, so I squeezed her begging her not to leave yet.

Soon after Gemmy came over and hugged me too. We stayed like that for a little bit. Just hugging and relaxing. After about a half hour I picked my head up and said "Ok...I think I'm ready..." to which they both looked me up and down and said "want to get dressed?" Which made me realize that I was still in a unicorn pajama set.

I looked into the bag of clothes I had bought and picked out the overalls and unicorn shirt. I got dressed in the bedroom and came out to the car where mom drove us three to my old apartment. When we got there I started shaking and Gemmy held me to her side.

Mom buzzed the correct apartment and explained why we were there. My birth mother let us in but told us to make it quick. Mom told her where she needed to sign and that's when things got hard.

Bri walked up...and asked why I was dressed like I was...I started crying not being able to handle it...Gemmy tried to explain to a confused Bri what was happening while my birth mother scoffed at me because "I was supposed to be a man".

My mom then rushed my birth mother to sign everything and took me and Gemmy outside. I squeezed mom and Gemmy so tightly that they had to loosen my grip. They took me to the car and drove me home so that I could nap out the situation. I wasn't as ready for this as I originally thought.
