several 𝐝𝐚𝐲𝐬 had passed.
miyazaki had spent the first few days aimlessly wandering around the streets of tokyo, and then on the fourth day she broke into some shops to take food, but it ended up being a game arena. it was easy clearing the game since it was such a low difficulty one. after that game, she hid in her apartment for the rest of the days. it was only in the morning, today, when she saw the visa app on her phone that said this was her last day. she figured out that it meant she'd need to play another game, which also meant having to leave her apartment, the only place she felt comfortable in.
honestly, the whole idea of borderland was so intriguing to her. maybe if she wasn't a part of it, but it was a virtual game, she'd love it. the concept was smart. the only thing she disliked was how you would have to gamble with others lives.
but miyazaki didn't have time to worry about that. she had another game to attend, so she left her apartment, wearing a long-sleeved top with a hoodie, jogging bottoms and trainers. these games may not just require being smart. she had to be prepared for running. she wasn't the fastest runner but tried to be athletic by going for jogs and joining the gym. it didn't last very long.
she found herself following a light lit up just like on her first day in borderland when she was following the light to the aquarium. only this time, she ended up at a random abandoned building.
she walked straight inside and grabbed a phone before getting familiar with anyone else participating.
facial recognition in process.

please wait until the game commences.the time limit for registration to close was still around three minutes so she sat on one of the tables in the corner of the room. opposite her was someone with a large white hoodie, with the hood on. parts of his long blondish hair were sticking out and his hands were in his pockets. even if he noticed her gaze, he didn't move to look at her. she looked away from him when another girl burst inside, panting. she reached for a phone, letting it scan her face. she didn't seem to be entirely new, but still an amateur.

five minutes until the game starts.
"five minutes to memorise this?"
"you're going in?" the other girl called out, making miyazaki look over at the man with several piercings and dark black hair who was already about to go into the maze.
"you're a fool if you think you can clear the game on your own." miyazaki scoffed at the man.
"what did you say?!" he snapped, turning around, the gun over his shoulder hitting the wall.
