𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐮 stood outside the shower room, a fresh set of clothes in hand. he was about to knock on the door, but it opened before he could. the girl with long wet brown hair and a towel wrapped around her, stepped out the showers, bumping into the boy.
he turned away quickly. "s-sorry. i came to bring you clothes."
"oh, thanks."
their hands brushed against each other as she took the clothes from him. she disappeared back inside, returning a moment later, changed and with the towel around her neck. they sat on the sofas in the main room with food and drinks laid out on the table, joining the conversation the other three were having.
"someone radioed in?" chota asked.
"yes, if we go to that place called the beach we might be able to discover something."
"like where all the people who disappeared could have went?" the woman asked.
"could there be an evacuation shelter? maybe, everyone else is there."
"are the closest beaches to us in shonan, izu and ito?" arisu walked around the table and sat beside karube who put the radio to his ear.
"they're so far."
"wait. beach?" miyazaki muttered. she remembered something someone had said. chishiya. it was him.
'then you can tell me at the beach.'
"we can get there. it's just a matter of time."
'what did he mean?' she asked herself, trying to rack her brain for where the beach could be. surely it couldn't be at an actual beach... right? that made no sense to her. if it was a sort of hidden hideout then it wouldn't be at an actual beach.
she abruptly stood up. "i have to go."
"why? already? can't you stay?" chota questioned.
"if i start walking now i should make it to my apartment before the afternoon and i have something to do."
she started making her way out.
"um..." arisu called out, following after her. "will i see you again?"
'i...?'
"maybe." she shrugged her shoulders, a grin on her face as she vanished just like she always did. truth is, she wasn't on her way to her apartment. she had a different goal: find the cheshire cat.
she left the building and began walking to an area near water. the area seemed too obvious, but it wouldn't hurt to try. after finding nothing, she took off towards more water areas, even looking at beaches.
"and nothing here..." she murmured, smacking her hand against a fence on the path she was walking by. there was only one place left that she hadn't searched. it was a distance away, however it was her last hope so she was going to go.
it was getting dark quick by the time she reached the area. she rested her arms against the railing, stretching her back as a sigh of relief escaped her lips. she had found it. the lit up building that was by the water had to be the beach. although she couldn't read what the words on the entrance said, she knew.
"eh, pyjama girl?"
she turned around and leaned her back against the railing. her arms crossed as she looked at the blonde up and down. "so, this is what you meant, the beach."
