𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐛𝐨𝐲𝐬 had unknowingly wandered into a game arena, not knowing anything about this cruel world or the deaths that occur. they were focused on the phones in their hands and were shocked by the older woman who entered, as well. as she was explaining about the borderline, they failed to notice another person.
"newcomers?" miyazaki asked, emerging from the corner. she had heard the three boys yelling outside before and followed them to the game arena. she walked across the border and they yelled out in protest, which she dismissed. "i'm
not new to this. don't worry."another voice caught their attention, a third girl. "i'm so relieved." she sighed and walked forwards. "geez! i thought i wouldn't find anyone here."
the boys yelled out again and the older woman handed her a phone.
registration has closed.
the game will now commence."game?"
difficulty, three of clubs.
"three of clubs?" the shortest boy asked. "what does this mean?"
game, dead or alive.
rule, select the correct door within the stipulated time."what?"
clear condition, leave the building within the time limit.
an elevator opened, revealing the words 'start'.
"this should be easy." miyazaki mumbled, and got inside the elevator with the others. the door closed, and the boy with messy black hair glanced at her somewhat relaxed state.
the doors opened.
the time limit for this room is two minutes.
the timer started immediately so she urged them into the room with checkered floors, and small holes in it. there were two doors, one black door with a picture of a skeleton, and the other was white with a picture of an angel character.
"to live or to die." the older woman read.
"is this really a game?" the shorter friend asked, taking out his phone to record. "this is kind of starting to get a little exciting."
"exciting?" mizayaki mumbled. not even she felt excited on her first game, but it made sense because this game didn't say one person would survive and everyone else would die. these newcomers had it easy.
"i'm sure this must be some kind of event." he continued as his two friends walked towards the doors.
"you shouldn't touch anything yet." the brunette told them. they didn't even know if opening the wrong door would kill them all at once. she didn't want to risk it.
"i want to go home." the younger girl said.
"it'll be fine. you're with us. let's win the game, get the prize and go home."
"the prize?"
miyazaki stayed back, watching them. she didn't know if she should intervene or not, but she was busy trying to figure out which door it was. she knew that surely it couldn't be the live one. that would be so simple...
one minute remaining.
"arisu, which do you think it is?" the bleached haired male asked.
"if it's a choice between life and death, i wouldn't choose the skeleton." the shorter one said, his voice sounding too cheery.
'did they not get that they'd actually die?'
