𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐫𝐮𝐧𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐞 decided to join another game. like she had told arisu and his friends, it was best to keep joining and winning games in order to get extra days off. what she didn't expect was that she'd be joining in her light blue flannel pyjamas. she was trying her best to look like she hadn't been walking around the streets like this. she stepped into the apartment building, all the other players staring at her. she took notice of five players she had played with before, but brushed off their stares and picked up a phone.

"it's you again." arisu said, taking notice of the girl who stood next to him and his friend.

"where's your friend chota?" she asked. "still injured?"

he nodded.

registration has closed.
there are a total of fourteen participants.
the game will now commence.

as she looked around the area, her eyes landed on chishiya who had earphones in, listening to music from a box on the floor. he lifted his hand to send her a finger wave, but she didn't wave back.

difficulty, five of spades.

a girl with short hair began stretching her legs at that. miyazaki knew she wasn't new either — probably very experienced and athletic.

"five of spades?" karube asked. miyazaki also wanted to know what exactly it meant. she had a rough idea.

"it's a physical game. strength is everything." a man with a hat and mustache said, appearing next to karube. "i'm nitobe. nice to meet you."

"each mark has a different meaning?" arisu asked.

"exactly! the mark on a trump card signifies the game genres. club refers to a team battle, and diamonds refers to a battle of wits. as for heart... it's the most troublesome one."

"troublesome?"

"it's a game of betrayal where you play with people's hearts." he said, and miyazaki avoided looking at three since she explained she had played a hearts game.

"what about the numbers?"

"the difficulty level. the larger the number, the harder it is to clear."

rule, run away from the tagger.

everyone started voicing out their opinions and concerns.

clear condition, discover the safe zone hidden in one of the hiding rooms within the time limit.
you clear the game when this objective is fulfilled.

time limit, twenty minutes.
after twenty minutes has passed the time bomb hidden in the building will explode.

miyazaki smiled. 'now this is my type of game.'

two minutes until the game starts.

she was on her way to the elevator, but realised someone had already gotten into it before her and was heading to the seventh floor.

"of course, him." she sighed before taking off after the muscular man from the maze game, who was heading upstairs.

she made it to the seventh floor, out of breath, and could see chishiya in the corner, looking over everyone. he waved at the man in front of her, but he ignored him. noticing his hand was still up, she decided to return the wave for him.
