We left the arena, along with the three sand siblings. «What are you planning to do?» my question made Sasuke think again what was really his goal. «I don't care about the other two, I only want to finish what I've started with that guy, Gaara.» «Hn, keep chasing them is a waste of time anyway.»
«Then, don't follow me!» he said with an arrogant tone. «As you wish.» I did as he said, although I honestly have mixed feelings about that. My instincts are saying something big is going to happen soon. I sighed and looked for Kakashi-sensei.
«Where are Sakura and Naruto?» I asked. «I thought they were with you.» «They went with Sasuke, didn't they?» He became serious all of sudden. «Should we stop them, sensei?» «For now let's see what will happen.»
I wasn't actually convinced with that plan, but I didn't want to oppress him. Kakashi-sensei knows what he's doing, I'll just trust him. «Y/n, leave the stadium, I need to deal with some people.»
On my way I met Kiba and Hinata, but Shino was missing. I think they noticed my confused expression. «He went to fight Gaara.» «Huh?» I finally snapped out of my thoughts. «Shino, he must have caught up with Sasuke and the others by now.»
«Ugh, I swear they're so competitive! Why can't they just stop bothering the sand team?» nothing makes sense right now. «I wonder that too, Y/n» Hinata comforted me. «Maybe, you just think too much. Let's relax for now, everything will be fine.» «I mean, you're not wrong Kiba.»
"Stop overthinking."
«Kakashi-sensei told me the same thing. So, what do we do now?» «Uhm, let's go for a walk?» Hinata proposed.

About half an hour has passed and I still feel pressured. The wind seemed to blow hard, "It must be Temari...!" «Y/n, is everything okay?» «Uh, yes! No worries!» The way I answered was so awkward that not even the dumbest person in the world would have believed it.
«I think it's better to go home now, get yourself a rest, Y/n.» They walked me to the Uchiha district, even though I told them they didn't have to. «Sleep to free your mind!» «Yeah, I'll try. Thanks, guys!»
After taking off my shoes, I went straight to my room and laid on the bed. I was feeling a bit sleepy, so I closed my eyes, but then a strong shock made me reopen them instantly.
I ran out of the house to see what was happening outside. It wasn't a simple earthquake, I was sure about that... It was caused by Naruto and Gaara. They're really fighting hard, are they? I hope none of them won't get seriously hurt.
"What was I even thinking when I didn't follow Sasuke!?"
I wore my shoes again and ran to the forest. Another shock, which made me almost fall backwards. On the other hand, it guided me in the right direction.
Among all the trees, I spotted someone. "Kankurō?" He was being helped getting up by Temari. «Where are they?» I asked as I approached them. «You finally decided to show up, Y/n Uchiha.» «Just answer me.» «No need to use that tone, huh. Come with us.»
Getting closer to the place where the four were, the screams became louder. I could clearly hear Naruto yell:«Dattebayo!»
We had almost arrived.
«Naruto, Sasuke!» I called them, while the sand siblings were taking care of their brother. «What happened to your forehead? Stay still, we need to stop the bleeding. I took some bandages with me.»
«Thank you, Y/n-chan!» Naruto was more energetic than before. «Anytime!» «We should check Sakura, Gaara choked her to death.» Sasuke suggested. What did he mean by that? «Oh, right! Shall we go?»

«I'm sorry I wasn't by your side guys... I couldn't think straight, I didn't know what to do.» I apologized. I felt so useless, like that night. I wasn't even scared to fight against Gaara, but then why did I refuse to?
«It's alright, Y/n-chan. Don't be sorry, I was able to protect everyone and that's all that matters right?» «Right. if you weren't there I can't imagine what could've happened to Sakura and Sasuke. Good job, Naruto!» I praised him, I wanted to make him feel the hero of today.
We kept joking around, until our laughs faded away when we heard Sasuke growling in pain. He held both his knees, his head almost touching the ground. «My body... it hurts everywhere!» he complained.
«Naruto, take Sakura with you. I'll help Sasuke to get up.» He nodded in response and went to Sakura right away. «Hold on to me, Sasuke. We're close to the hokage mansion, it shouldn't take us much time. Can you resist until then?»
