«Took you a while to come» «Yeah, sorry about that, this place is still strange to me» I apologized for being late and sat down at the table. I grabbed my spoon and tried the miso soup with some rice.
«How is it?» I hummed in response, it was delicious. Just the little amount of broth that i slurped, brought me back so many memories. I remember coming home after training with Sasuke and having miso soup at dinner with mom and dad.
I expected a dinner where no one would talk, but it was the opposite. Everyone seemed so different from this morning. Today is only my first day here and it isn't that bad. I'm finding new sides of the members already. I thought they were always serious and strict, apparently they are like 'normal people'.
«Guys, it just came up to my mind.» We all raised our gaze to Deidara, «Shouldn't we upgrade our plan?» Everyone looked at him with annoyance. «Can't you just eat and stop talking about nonsense?»
Deidara seemed to be offended by Konan's request. «Okay, damn. Sorry for asking. I only wanted to include Y/n in our plan.» Hearing my name made me stop chewing and look up.
I had no clue about what they were talking about, but I admit that I was interested and wanted to know more about 'the plan'. «...I don't think she's ready. She's new and knows nothing about us.» Sasori expressed his opinion.
Half of them agreed, including Kisame, and I do too. I need more information before intervening. «You're right, Sasori. So, show her around and explain her our plan» Nagato ordered.
«Right now?» «Exactly, at this moment.» The boy was too stunned to speak. «See? You should've just stayed quiet.» I heard Deidara dissing the latter.
Regretting everything, Sasori sighed and called me. «Let's go.» I got up and followed him. It was awkward, so awkward.
In these moments starting a conversation could help to break the ice, but I'm not able to. I just can't do it. I waited for him to say anything but I guess he also didn't want to start it.
«Sasori-?» As soon as I call him, he turns and starts attacking me. «What the fuck is wrong with you‽» I cursed backing off. «What do you want from us?» was his reply.
«Shouldn't I be the one asking that‽» «You? No. A stranger just joined my organization, even though I was completely against it and now I have to be the tourist guide? Ridiculous.»
«Oh really? Well, walking alone in a dark and isolated place with a S-rank criminal beside me that could easily kill me, like he was trying to do thirty seconds ago, isn't any better.»
Activating my sharingan, I counter-attacked him, throwing some kunais here and there, not sure of where he was. My kekkei genkai wasn't that helpful because the puppet Sasori was controlling was extremely fast.
Still I could sense his chakra, which allowed me to avoid his attacks. It was his turn now and countless blades were coming for me in every direction. Quickly taking a look around and analysing the situation, I found a way to avoid getting hit by them.
Up and down. There were two options but since I didn't have time to think of which was the better one, I chose neither of them and ran in the direction of the puppet master. I figured out where he was earlier, I was just waiting for the right moment.
"Now!"
The blades were following me as expected. I grabbed Sasori's puppet and turned it the other way, using it as a kind of shield. But before it could be hit, it got covered by sand. It wasn't normal sand, it was grey almost black.
«Mind to explain what is happening here?»
«Nagato-» «He was testing a new jutsu and asked for my help, nothing to worry about.» I precedeed the red haired boy and left as I didn't want to be asked any other question.
