«Long time no see, Y/n.»
I stayed still, unable to move my body at the sight of him. I was so in disbelief that I couldn't even talk. I wanted to ask him so many things.
«Let's talk outside.»
I forced myself to get up and follow them. We went out through the window to go unnoticed and walked down the road.
We were here again, in the same place as five years ago. «Why did you come back?»
I didn't know if I had to be happy or sad, I just wanted to cry. «To talk.» «Talk about what? There's nothing to talk about.» I tried to remain calm but my emotions were overcoming me.
«Wrong, there's still many things we need to discuss.» he replied, indifferently. «Kisame, make sure no one is around.», «Got it, Itachi.» he then left us.
«You have grown up a lot since the last time we saw each other, Y/n.», I ignored his words and held a kunai behind my back, in case he would attack me. But he soon noticed, «What are you hiding?»
“What I gotta do?”
Within milliseconds, he was behind me.. «W-what else do you want from me‽ You already took away everything and everyone I had!» I finally let it out.
«That's right, you have nothing now... I guess you still don't remember what I told you back then and since I don't have time, I'll just accelerate the process.» He grabbed my face and forced me to look into his sharingan.
I began seeing ravens all around me. I didn't know where I was, I put both of my hands on my head because it was hurting so bad. I yelled in pain, but no one could've helped me. I was alone.
When the pain stopped, I was in my bedroom again
“What the hell just happened?”

I woke up with a splitting headache that made me lose my balance as I got up. I searched for an aspirin: I had some in my nightstand drawer, but once I opened it, I found a sheet folded in two. I don't remember putting it there.
‘Go north-east, all straight, until you find a wine shop. From this point on, turn left, once around the corner, look up. It's not far from home, it should take you about twenty minutes. Don't waste time, this is the way to know the truth.’
I took the aspirin and changed my clothes. I went downstairs, where Sasuke was having breakfast. I was in a hurry and didn't understand what he was asking. «You said something?», he rolled his eyes in annoyance «Are you gonna eat or not?»
«I'll skip breakfast today, see ya!» I closed the door and took a look again at the directions Itachi-niisan gave me. I tried to memorize it and ran to the location.

«It only took you fourteen minutes, excellent.» I looked up and saw them. There they are. «You're all aces in the family, huh.» «Well, thank you…?» «Kisame, my name's Kisame.»
I went to the roof as well and sat next to them. «You still don't remember anything, don't you?» Itachi-niisan asked, I nodded in response.
«But why are you insisting on it? If I had it to be honest, I'm terrified and I don't trust you at all! Why did you suddenly come to the village and decide to tell me what's behind the clan massacre‽»
«Stay calm.» «How can I! If, after five years, the killer of my family comes back and the first thing he does is to make his sister fall into an illusion?»
«I told you to stay calm. The reason why I did all of that is because five years ago the council gave me a mission. I had to choose between the clan and the village. Don't be so startled, you already knew about this, you just don't remember.»
«Agh!» The sharingan again! I yelled, feeling as if someone was stabbing my brain. «I made you look into my eyes, that night… But I made sure you would forget, afterwards. You were too little, so you wouldn't be able to understand.»
I began to see blurry images of him and the Third having a discussion, but I couldn't hear clearly what It was about.
«Promise me, you'll take care of Sasuke and Y/n.».
I shut my eyes and ran my fingers through my hair in frustration and stress. Because of how exhausted I was, I could no longer stay up. Now I was on my knees, begging to wake up from this nightmare.
«I killed the whole clan just to let you two live and grow until you were old enough to fight me and defeat me.» He explained.
«And you think a thirteen year old genin could be at your level?» I said through heavy breaths. «I was around your age when I massacred the clan, there's nothing impossible. But fighting me right now is not what I want you to do.» «Just tell me what you want from me!»
«All right.» He finally turned off his sharingan, letting me free from his genjustu. «Sasuke is going to leave the village soon, if you don't want to lose him then cooperate with me.»
“How is he so sure about that?”
«Listen carefully: before him, you'll leave too. Me and Kisame will pick you up personally and wait outside the village; I'll tell you the exact location once you'll make your decision. I'll give you two weeks to think about it. When the time is due, meet me here again.»
He had a very detailed plan that he must have organized in these past years. One wrong move and it will get messed up. «Also, if you refuse, I'll erase your memory so you won't remember the conversation we had yesterday and today.»
«You're finally done. Let's go, Itachi! They must be waiting for us.» Kisame said and got up, approaching us. «Wait! You still haven't answered my question: why are you making me do this? Why not Sasuke?»
He looked back at me and lowered himself a bit. «Sorry, Y/n. Maybe next time.» he then poked my forehead, but this time he didn't have his usual smile. This bought so many memories, but some things are better left as hazy memories.
“It's always ‘next time’... is there even a ‘next time’?”
