Y/n woke up to total darkness. She opened her eyes and rolled over, seeing a sheet of dim light slipping through the door at the opposite side of the room. She sat up, wincing a little at the pain that shot through her leg by the movement, and looked around. I'm in the Underground. With the monsters. She wasn't sure if the thought excited her or terrified her, but decided to leave it for later.
The girl stood up, leaning on the desk, and made her way to the door. Peeking out she looked up and down a yellow hallway. There was a long floral rug running through it and various things along the wall; all of which were a pale shade of yellow. She hobbled to the end and saw a mirror.
I don't look that bad actually, she thought, gazing at her reflection in the wide mirror. She walked back and ran her hand along a dresser and all the yellow flowers in their vases. They looked almost identical to what Flowey looked like. This disturbed her greatly, but none of the less made her way to the next room.
The floor was a pale wood color that ran from her entry to the other end. In the middle on her right was a table for three, a small pot of yellow flowers on it. On her left in the middle was a fireplace and a large chair, a small round rug at the foot of the chair. The fire crackled happily as Y/n walked in and skimmed the titles of the bookcase that was in the upper left corner of the room.
"72 Uses for Snails? Why would anyone... want to..." she trailed off, remembering she was among monsters now, so they probably ate something different than human food.
She held onto the wall and found another doorway at the far upper left corner of the room. She peeked in and saw Asgore in there piddling about, an oven-mitt in one hand and a fork in the other. "Hey... I'm here," Y/n said, attempting to make herself heard. Asgore flinched and turned to her, surprise apparent on his features, but his expression quickly changed to a warm smile.
"Ah, hello miss Y/n," he said, gesturing for her to come in. He held out his large paw for her to take. She took his paw leaning on it for support and he led her to a stool in the corner of the kitchen. Oh my gosh his hands are so warm. Or paws, I guess. "I apologize for making you walk all the way down here; I was going to bring you a slice of pie when it was ready."
Y/n smiled in delight. She was very hungry, and the thought of pie sounded wonderful. "Oh it's no trouble, I came here on my own just fine," Y/n said, a stupid smile coming to her face. "What pie are you making?"
Asgore looked to the oven and put a finger to his mouth, then moved it to point at her. "I wasn't entirely sure if you'd like one of the options for the pie, so I did a combination. Butterscotch-cinnamon," he said triumphantly, as if he solved a puzzle. "I hope you will like it. I thought starting with that instead of snail pie would be a good idea."
Snail what now sir? Y/n's face looked very confused and grossed out at the mention of snail pie. Asgore let out a chuckle, the timer going off in the background. He turned and hurried over to the oven and pulled out a perfect looking pie with three holes in the middle, steam filtering through them and into the air. "Oh my goodness... that looks delicious," Y/n said, her smile returning and her stomach growling.
"Thank you," Asgore replied, setting the pie onto the counter next to the girl. He walked to a drawer on the other side of the small kitchen and took out a knife, walking back over and cutting a slice from the perfect pie. Y/n could barely contain herself as the slice was placed onto a plate Asgore had gotten out previously. The goat man slid it over to her and handed her a fork. "Bone appetite."
