I've based this from Bojack. I was thinking about how Peter, based on the first movie, probably spent a lot of time fooling around with a lot of women and there's a chance he might have little Star Lords running around somewhere in the galaxy, and the reader thinks she might be one.

Enjoy.

"Quill? Hey, Quill!" Rocket calls out.

"What are you yelling for, Rocket?" Gamora calls back. "Where's Quill?" Rocket demands, holding an almost empty carton of milk in hand, "I told that idiot to either drink the rest of the milk or not drink it at all and leave a sliver of it in the carton." "How should I know?" Gamora shrugs, "I don't keep track of his whereabouts, he's a grown man."

"I think he went into town," Mantis quips in, "Something about needing supplies, I think." "Thanks, Mantis," Rocket deadpans, "I'll wait for Quill outside so when he comes back, I won't forget to yell at him."

Right as Rocket walked out of the ship a dart hits the raccoon on his left leg. "Ow!" Rocket exclaims in shock and slight pain. Right as he pulled the dart out, Rocket passed out.

When Rocket came to, he looked around and saw he was in some bushes only a few feet from the ship.
"What the hell?" he frowns before coming face-to-face with a strange figure in a fedora and trench coat. "Ah!"
"Whoa, whoa, stop, calm down, I'm not gonna hurt you." you assure, "My name is (y/n) (y/l/m)." "Is that name supposed to mean anything to me?" Rocket demands. "Probably not," you shake your head. "You're Rocket right? You're one of the Guardians of the Galaxy."
"Yeah? Why?" "Well..." you begin to explain, "I think I might be related to one of you."

At that moment, Rocket's mouth dropped agape, "Uh...well I don't recall having any kids," he says, "I mean any that I know of. Can barely remember what happened to me half the time." "Then why'd you drug me?" he exclaims. "Because you were the closest one," you shrug, "And when you buy a spy kit that comes with chloroform how could I not use it." "Oh yeah, sure that makes a lot of sense," Rocket deadpans, "I feel so much better about this situation." "Anyway, I wasn't talking about you," you assure, "I was actually talking another one of your own, uh, Star Lord."
"Oh," Rocket says before squinting a bit, "Well, now that you mention that, there might be some resemblance. Maybe we can talk about it on the ship."

------------------------

"So let me get this straight, (y/n)," Gamora speaks up once Rocket brought you into the ship, introduced you to the Guardians, and you explained why you were here, "You're looking for Peter because he might be related to you?" "You mean like he is your father?" Mantis asks, somewhat hopeful, "Is that what you want to know." What you hoping he's your dad?" "Not really," you shrug again, "I already have two dads at home." "Oh." "But, uh, I always wanted to know who my mom is. And if Peter Quill is my dad, maybe he can help me find who it is."

The other Guardians exchange looks. "What's wrong?" you ask, noticing.
"Well..." Gamora tries to explain, "If Peter really is your father..." "Which is actually a huge possibility," Rocket adds. "I am Groot," Groot also adds. "...finding your mother may not be as easy as you think it might be," Gamora finishes.
"What do you mean by that?" you raise an eyebrow.

The team exchange some more rather uncomfortable looks. "Let's just say Quill isn't exactly known for his chastity if anything else," Rocket explains, "he's...been around a lot." "I think she gets the point, Rocket," Gamora quips in. "He's lain with all sorts," Drax adds, "
"Uh, I may have been kinda expecting that," you admit, "Though that's not saying much, since I figured the only person who would be given the name Star Lord was to himself."

"Who's talking about me?" Peter walked into the ship, and the first thing he noticed was you onboard, "Uh, who's the kid?" "Oh boy this isn't going to be good," Rocket mutters. "Hi, I'm (y/n)," you introduce yourself, "And...I don't know how to put this delicately. Uh..." "She's you daughter," Drax blurts. "Drax!" Gamora scolds. "What? He needs to know," Drax reasons, "What parent wouldn't want to know of their lost child?"

Peter's eyes widen as looks at you...then he suddenly faints.
"Fascinating," Drax observes, "Not quite the reaction I was expecting." "Really? I was fully expecting it," Rocket retorts.
"I got this," Mantis stands up and does her thing to revive Peter.

"Oh, what happened?" Peter groans, "I had this strange dream, there was this kid here and she was my mine or something."
"She is," Drax confirms, "And this was no dream." "Hi," you wave somewhat awkwardly. "Oh," Peter's eyes widen again. "Please don't faint on us again," you beg. "I'm...I'm not," Peter assures, "But uh...you." "Yes." "You're my kid." "Yeah."
"...No you're not," Peter shakes his head. "Yeah I am," you counter. "...No. You're. Not," Peter denies again. "I think she is," Rocket quips in. "There is some resemblance," Drax agrees. "I am Groot." "Gee, thanks guys," Peter deadpans, "No, there's no way you can't be my kid." "Why not?" you frown a bit, "Based on what these guys have told me, it is very possible you could've had a kid."

"I used protection each time," Peter explains, "And why would you guys say something like that, it's not like I slept around that much." "Those stains in the engine room to the cockpit said differently," Rocket deadpans, which made you cringe. "You know those are only 90% effective," Drax states, "Even I know something like that." "Okay, well, my version of the talk was from a bunch of space pirates, there wasn't much discussion about the accessories needed for the mechanics," Peter gets defensive, "anyway, I know for a fact that you are not my kid."

"How do you know for sure?" Gamora asks. "...Well...I just know," Peter simply adds for an explanation. "I am Groot," Groot suggests. "Yeah, why not compare DNA samples to discern the truth?" Drax agrees. "...Fine," Peter concedes, "Lets get this over with."

------a few hours later-------

"Well, there's no denying it now," Rocket confirms, "There is some genetic similarities, Quill. She is related to you."

"...Okay, fine," Peter concedes once again, "You're my kid." "Look, you don't have to make this a big deal," you assure him, "I didn't exactly come here to add another father to my life." "Oh, good," Peter sighs in relief. "I do, however would like to know who my mother is," you add. "Oh..." Peter seemed to go pale, "That's...gonna be a little difficult. I'm not sure how much help I can be."
"Okay, how about this," you offer, "If you help me find my mom, I promise to leave you alone. How does that sound?" "Sounds good to me," Peter shakes your hand in agreement.

I plan to add a part 2 to this.
So to be continued
