Here's part 2. Enjoy.

In the aftermath of you and Gamora knocking the men who turned against you, two showed up wondering what the ruckus was all about. Guns pulled out, you and Gamora aim them at those two. "What are you doing?" one of the crew asks, his name Jak. "Two of the crew just attacked us, what is going on here?" Gamora demands. "Jak, do you and Dex know what happened to those men? As my second in command, I have to ask, did you order them to kill us?"

"No ma'am," Jak insists, "I did not. I would never do such a thing." "Why should we believe you?" Gamora questions. "We wouldn't. Look, no guns." Dex and Jak set their guns down, giving you and Gamora some much needed relief. "These men wouldn't just attack us without reason," you state. "Well I can assure you, ma'am you haven't given us any reason to attack or organize a mutiny," Jak assures.

"We should contact the bridge," Gamora suggests, "If there is even a small chance of a mutiny happening we need to make sure we're in control." "Bridge, this is Captain (y/n), respond," you say into your comm link which only came out in static, "Nothing. They must be jamming transmissions on the ship." "Then we'll have to get up there and see for ourselves," Gamora states. "But these two will be coming around any minute," you point out. "Dex can watch over them until we get to the bottom of this," Jak assures. "What about your friends?" you ask Gamora. "...I think until we know for sure what's going on here we should hold off waking up Mantis and Drax," Gamora answers, "Knowing Drax, he hates being woken up for a false alarm." "I guess that's a good point," you say, "Let's get going then."

-----------Meanwhile-------------

"Hey, Quill, what's got you down?" Rocket questions as he navigated the ship to their destination to the planet where there next mission was located. The talking raccoon had noticed Peter's concerned looks as the man was trying to make contact with the medical ship you, and the rest of his friends were on.

"I've been trying to get a hold of the medical ship," Peter explains, "they were supposed to check in fifteen minutes ago. Among any of our team, it's unlike Gamora to be late with checking in, so I decide to contact them, but for some reason it's not going through. It's like someone's jamming the transmission."
"They're probably experiencing solar flares where they're at right now, I'm sure they're fine," Rocket assures, "it's not like they could possibly be in any kind of trouble right at this very moment."

----------Back to the situation at hand-----------

"Engage autopilot and activate ray shields," the parasite controlled crew member orders on the bridge.

Right when you, Gamora, and Jak  were on your way to the bridge, the ray shields were turned on, keeping you guys from entering. "Guess, there's someone who doesn't want to go up there," Gamora states. "I'll attempt to disable the shields from here," you say kneeling down to the panel that controlled the shields.

In the midst of doing so, Jak suddenly attacked you. You try and push him away but he pushes you against the wall. As you struggle, something slithers out of Jak's mouth like a worm.

"Gamora, he's infected!" you shout. Immediately Gamora pulled out her knife and stabbed Jak in the back. The worm escapes Jak and lands on you. "Get this thing off me!" you panic. Gamora quickly pulls it off and slices the worm in half with her knife. The halves of the worm squirm as a result.

"Thanks," you sigh in relief when the worm halves stop moving, "What is that thing anyway?" "Oh no," Gamora realizes, "I think I might know." "How do you mean?" "We ran into these things when we fought the pirates," Gamora explains, "they would hatch from eggs and crawl in people's heads and control them." "Mind control," you realize picking up one of the worm halves while Gamora picked up the other, "that explains everything. Jak was my friend, he would never have tried to hurt me. Neither would the men would attacked us in the mess hall. How did these get on board in the first place?"

Gamora tries to think in coming up for an explanation, "the pirates that were still left...they must've somehow smuggled these things onboard before we left the planet." "Oh no," you say with worry, "If that's the case anybody here could be at risk. We need to quarantine the ship and contact the medical station, let them know of the situation."

"If anybody could be at risk, that means...Drax and Mantis!" Gamora realizes, "We need to warn them!"

Immediately, you and Gamora rush towards the sleeping quarters. By the time you got there it was too late. The infected crew were there already holding both Mantis and Drax in place. One crew had an egg in each hand for both Guardians. "We need to do something," you say, about to rush in there but Gamora pulls you back as the eggs hatch and crawl inside Drax and Mantis. "It's too late," Gamora says as she helplessly watch her comrades writhe and squirm until the parasites took complete control of their minds and bodies.

You and Gamora started to back away but two infected crew members were right behind you. The two of you fall back into the quarters and slam the door shut. The crew inside the sleeping quarters, Drax and Mantis included, assume attack and open fire. You and Gamora dodge the bullets and counter any close up attacks.
Mantis tries to grab hold of you but Gamora pushes her away. Drax tries to stab Gamora in the back but you stop him by kicking him in the groin, thankful their pain receptors were still functioning properly.

"(y/n)! Let's go up the vents!" Gamora calls out. Nodding you and her get as close to the top vents as you can. Gamora kicks the vent open and the two of you jump inside.

You and her crawl through the ventilation system, staying as quiet as you can when you spot several of the crew pass by underneath.
"Until we figure out to stop those things, we need to assume everyone onboard is infected," you state. "What's the plan, Captain?" Gamora questions. "At this point, we'll have to split up," you tell her, "I'm gonna head back to the bridge and see if I can disable the ray shields. You head for the communications room and contact the medical station. With any luck they haven't jammed any outgoing transmissions."
"You really think it's a good idea to split up?" Gamora points out, "What if that increases the chances of either one of us getting infected." "I don't like it anymore then you," you admit, "But it's a risk worth taking if it means preventing the spread of these parasites into the medical station and who knows where else. As long as we're quiet and alert, we should be able to make through this ordeal unscathed."

With that, you and Gamora split up in the vents and make it to your destinations.

------------------

While Gamora made it to the communications room and made contact with the medical station, you crawled through the vents till you made it to the doors of the bridge. It was suspicious that the ray shields were off.

You jump out and approach the door with caution. As you were about to get it open, you felt two dainty hands grab you, one of those hands pressed against your temple. "Relax," you hear Mantis' voice, her empathetic power compelling you to resist fighting and fall to your knees.

Several of the infected crew join in and surround you. "You were always so predictable, Captain," you hear one crew's voice as they approached you with a parasite egg. Your eyes widen in fear, knowing what was about to happen.

"NO!!" your screams could be heard throughout the ship.
