Day 13 - Walk in the Park

One simple day today, no tricks or craziness, just a little day in the park with the two most sparkling couples in Grace Field Village. Norman and Emma as well as Ray and Anna had decided to spend some time together, a sort of double date, but each would be mostly with his half rather than chatting with the other couple, not that it was not planned nonetheless. Don and Gilda were doing their usual flower picking, Nat was giving a piano lesson to Alicia and Sherry, Hans with Jasper and Vivian had gone for a bike ride with Violet and for Phil, Rossi, Mark, Thoma, Lannion and Tommy it was a video game tournament. Everyone's busy schedule left Chris and Dominic with nothing to do, the two inseparable had nothing to do as it was not a hunting day. Norman and Anna had naturally offered to take them to the park with them, Emma was thrilled and Ray had not said anything special, the two boys had eyes that sparkled with excitement and gratitude and they had thanked their four siblings before getting ready. They set off in the early afternoon and after a 30-minute walk they arrived.

Don and Gilda had recommended the place to them because it was flowered as rarely, with the most ravishing ornaments and a large playground for the youngest. They had told the two boys that they would be in the flowered part of the park and that if they needed them, they could join them as soon as possible. Once the two friends were far away, our four lovebirds had started their walk discussing everything and nothing and holding each other by the waist, the smell that covered the park was sumptuous, it was like being in a perfume shop but in the open air with the sun reflected in their young and pure faces.

The two boys had gone for the big tree climbing course, there was everything to have fun: giant net, monkey bridge, zip line and rope climbing to a 5m jump on a giant inflatable cushion, the two boys would run after each other, play hide-and-seek and do the activities before lying on the ground and looking up at the sky, looking pensive.

Chr: I gotta say... I'm absolutely lucky to have you and Tommy. You're both the greatest friends I could've hoped for.

Dom: I'm the one who has two great friends... You're exceptional, I'm glad I grew up with you. And Tommy would say the same thing, only more complicated.

Chr: He's become someone since we escaped... A real brainiac, and he kept his soul despite the fact that he had to learn how to take care of others in the urgency of the situation... All so he wouldn't leave the whole burden on Phil.

Dom: Literally a true friend... I'm glad he's with us most of the time.

Chr: Me too.

The two couples had a privileged moment with their half, Norman had taken Emma to a pond and Ray had noticed during their walk a small secluded place to rest between lovers. Ray and Anna had taken the opportunity to take refreshment then while taking advantage of the softness of this beautiful day of May, they had granted themselves a nap in the grass with Ray who had nested in the neck of his girlfriend. He had woken up much warmer than before... the sun? No, he was going to set, then he felt something move in his back, he looked out of the corner of his eye and saw Norman who had leaned against Ray, he was resting too and looking further back he noticed that Emma was sleeping on Norman's belly with Chris and Dominic resting in her arms. There were the gardeners too, Ray had assumed that they were supposed to ask them to leave but seeing the cuteness of this scene, it would have broken their hearts to disturb this moment of peace between all this group of children who adored each other, it could be seen in their eyes that they didn't dare.

Everybody had woken up little by little except the two children who were still tired from their busy day, they had come home with Chris in Emma's arms and Dominic in Anna's, they were making little head movements that were way too adorable, and when they came home, the two girls had put them directly in a big bed which allowed Tommy to get in between them to enjoy the hugs of his two favourite siblings.
