Mute - Niall Horan

I woke up to Niall not being in the room. I got up and went to the wardrobe. I put on a pair of leggings and a white t-shirt with a denim jacket. I put on my high tops before packing my speedway riding gear and helmet into my big rucksack. I put a bandana in my hair before taking my bag and carrying it downstairs.

"Where you off to?" Liam asked as I walked into the kitchen. All of the boys were sat round the table in the kitchen eating breakfast.

"Yeah where you off to babe?" Niall asked.

"I'm going to Wolverhampton to talk to Tai who I'm riding with in the grand prix to talk about strategies" I explained.

"When you getting back?" Louis asked.

"on the train sometime this afternoon" I said.

"We might be at tour rehearsals but you have a key don't you?" He asked. I nodded.

"Have fun" Niall said. I nodded and hugged him before whispering 'love you' in his ear, waving at the boys and leaving. I walked to the train station and ordered a ticket. I then went out to the platform and put my headphones in before putting on my Evanescence playlist.

About ten minutes later the train came so I stepped on and took a seat. When we arrived at Wolverhampton I got off and left the station. I got a bus and sat at the back. When it came to the stop by the Wolverhampton Speedway Track I pressed the bell. The bus stopped and I got up and left, thanking the driver before I got off.

I walked into the stadium and showed my ID to the person on the door to make sure I was a rider and no crazed fan coming to stalk other riders. I walked in and saw Tai out on the track racing. I put my bag on the floor and leant against the side of the track, watching Tai practise. He was a good rider, no doubt about that.

When he noticed me he came over and stopped by me, turning the engine off and taking his helmet off, hanging it over his handlebar. I have raced against Tai but never really spoken to him before.

"I'm Nellie" I smiled.

"Tai" He replied.

"You race well" I said.

"Thanks, have you got yours?" He asked.

"Only my gear, not the bike" I replied.

"I wanna see what you're like, go and change and I'll get Jonathan to set up my spare bike" Tai said. I nodded and walked off towards the changing rooms. I put my speedway outfit on and carried my helmet and went out onto the track.

"Ready" I smiled.

"All good to go" Jonathan said. I thanked him and put my helmet on. I got on the bike and began racing round the track. I took me a couple of laps to get into it as I wasn't used to riding Tai's bike but I was fun. After four laps I went over to him and stopped beside him.

"That was great" Tai said.

"Thanks" I replied.

"Now for fun we race against each other" Tai said. I nodded and we lined up before setting off. Tai was ahead of me but I was close on his tail on the whole thing.

After spending the morning with Tai we packed up our stuff and said goodbyeto each other. I then got back on the bus and back on the train to get home. When i got there the house was silent so the boys were probably at rehearsals. I put my bag in my room upstairs, it lived in my old room as there was a lot of speedway stuff and there wouldnt be any room is we put it all in Niall's room.

As i came back downstairs the front door opened and all of the boys came bundling in.

"That was great" Harry laughed.

"Yeah it definitely was" Louis replied.

Its amazing what little things can excite this lot...
