Started as a Mistake (pernico/perico)

Prom Part 1

Percy's POV:

       "You girls take forever," complained Jason while Annabeth, Reyna, and Piper got dressed at his house. I chuckled and said, "Says the guy that took fifteen-minutes doing his hair." "Hey! That is totally different, I need to make every strand be in the right place, unlike your nest," Jason snorted. I rolled my eyes and was texting Nico when Annabeth peeped in emerging from the bathroom and said, "Look who's smitten." "Ah hush, but tell me this, whats going on between you and Reyna?" I teased. She instantly blushed at the mention of her name and went quiet. Maybe I was not the only smitten one here...

       Finally an eternity later, Piper, Annabeth, and Reyna said they were done, and Rachel showed up at Jason's house. Nico was picking us up, since his limo was the only big vehicle that we all could fit in. We were joking around and fixing out outfits when we heard a ding at the doorbell, I went to open it, and I saw Nico on the other side. His outfit left me speechless. "I--Uh--You.." I trailed off at a loss for words. I stared at him in his three-piece suit, with a black blazer, white button up, and a black vest with his hair parted down the middle. Gods, just when I thought he couldn't get any more attractive, he does. I just blushed and told him to come in, while the rest of them finished whatever they were doing. When everyone finished their things, we got into the limo where I saw Hazel, Frank, Travis, Connor, Leo, and Will already seated and talking as we got in as well. I sat next to Nico and couldn't keep my eyes off of him, butterflies in my stomach. Whenever our eyes met we blushed and looked away.

Nico's POV:

      OH MY GODS PERCY LOOKS SO HOT LIKE KILL ME ALREADY. I can feel my face burning as I sit next to him in the limo. Luckily, Jason's house wasn't too far away from school so we made it to the school quickly. We walked into the gym which was now stench-free and decorated with black and gold decorations, and tables, with the dance floor in the middle. We all get a table where we leave our things and talk to our friends. I stayed at the table on my phone playing Mythomagic, when I feel someone pull me out of the chair. I look to see Percy dragging my arm to a more private place. "Have I told you, you look amazing?" he whispered. "I could tell by the look on your face," I said smirking. We could hear our friends looking for us so I quickly pecked Percy's lips, and made my way back into the gym. More people started to arrive and the DJ played music. Will dragged me to the dance floor where I awkwardly shuffled, getting strange looks from some people. 

      I got tired a little later, and went back to our table, and Percy came back as well with two cups of punch in his hands. "Here you go, Mister Boyfriend," he said handing me the punch. "Thank you," I said and started to drink it. The music slowly faded from upbeat to slow and romantic, as the couples filled the dance floor. I saw Percy looking at all the couples dancing and decided to dance with him. I held out my hand and asked, "A dance?" To which he replied, "Gladly." We danced together, staring into each other's eyes, and occasionally bursting out laughing at each other's weird faces.
