*buz buz. buz buz*
I look to my vibrating phone and see that I have a text.
Kian: Are you still coming tonight?
Me: Yes what time do I have to be there?
Kian: Well Trevor's mom said he's coming at 9pm so you should get here no later than 8pm so we can go over things with you.
Me: Okay! :) and he has no idea?
Kian: Nope. Haha it's going to be great!
Me: Can't wait!
It's 6pm now so that gives me a couple hours to get ready. I go straight to the bathroom and turn on the hot water. I then run to my room and pick out my outfit for tonight. It needs to be perfect.
I decide to go with a baby blue skater dress that compliments my eyes perfectly. I go back to the shower and the water is warm now. Perfect.
After my shower I get out and it's 6:20pm. I dry off and apply lotion. As that drys I do my make up. Nothing too special. Just a little eye liner, mascara, and light pink lip gloss. I blow dry my hair and take a curler to the end. Then I slip on my dress and my white flats. I put on my simple heart necklace and a small silver bracelet and with that I'm finished. Oh wait. Can't forget my perfume. A couple if sprits and I'm done.
I check the time again and it's 7:30pm. Perfect. Plenty of time to get to Trevor's.
I head down stairs where my mom anxiously awaits.
"Oh baby you look so adorable!" Mom says with her hands on her heart. She looks like she might cry.
"Thanks mom!" I beam and give her a twirl.
She opens her arms and I run into them.
"My baby's all grown up."
I pull away. "I'm not that grown up. I still need you to drive me to the party." I smile up at her.
"Very true. It's nice to know you still need your momma. Come on let's go."
I take her hand and we head out to the car.
Along the ride she tells me to be careful. She trusts me but she feels like she should remind me because "that's what parents are supposed to do." Moms always been more like a friend to me. She's all I have and I'm all she has.
We pull up to Trevor's house and I turn to her.
"Thanks mom." I say and lean in to kiss her cheek.
"Muah. No problem baby. Text me if you need a ride okay?"
"Sure." I say and get out of the car. "Love you!"
"Love you too baby." She yells as she pulls away.
I walk up to the house and turn the door knob. I've been here so many times that Trevor's parents don't even have me knock anymore. I just show myself in and so do the other guys.
"(Y/n)!" Everyone yells.
"Hi everyone!" I yell back.
The room is filled with people, friends and family of Trevor's. We have all come together to celebrate Trevor's birthday. He is out in the studio and he thinks that he is coming home to change and then going out to a family dinner, but little does he know that all his friends and family are here to party and celebrate with him.
I go around the room and hug Trevor's dad, both sets of grandparents, and a few of his aunts and uncles and their kids, Trevor's cousins.
"I'm so glad you could make it!" Trevor's grandma says. "My daughter should be home any second with Trevor. I know how long it's been since you've seen him and I'm sure you've missed him." She says and winks at me.
"I have. I really missed him while I was gone."
Mom and I went out of town for a family emergency. We were gone for almost a month... Although I've been texting and calling Trevor everyday, it's been so long since I've seen him and I miss him terribly. He doesn't know I'm back in town. He told me he understood but I could tell that he was sad. I cannot wait to see his face.
"(Y/n)!" I hear from behind.
I turn around and see Kian approaching along with Ricky, Sam, and Connor. I excuse myself from Trevor's family and run over to the guys.
Kian picks me up and spins me around.
"I've missed you so much!" Kian says.
"Alright my turn!" Connor says and pulls me in for a hug. "Welcome back."
"Thanks! I've missed you all!" I say and go to hug Sam.
"Welcome back dude! It's been so weird not having you with us this past month." Sam says and pulls away.
"Come here kiddo!" Ricky says and pulls me in for a big bear hug.
"Where's Jc?" I ask looking around.
The boys look around as well but he's no where to be seen.
"He's probably with Lia." Sam laughs.
"Okay, well what are we going to do? How am I going to surprise Trevor?" I ask.
The boys all look at one another and smile. No one speaks. Instead, Kian grabs my wrist and leads me through the house and out to the backyard.
"Are you kidding me?" I ask looking at the huge box, wrapping paper and a huge bow.
"Come on (y/n) it would be so awesome!" Jc says walking in from behind us. He's holding Lia's hand.
"Nice of you to join us." Connor says and looks back at the box.
"I don't want to get in that box!" I protest.
"I promise you, you won't be in there that long." Ricky says.
"(Y/n), we will have him open it first thing." Sam suggests.
"We promise." Kian adds.
I stand there contemplating it. I don't see what other option I would have. I want this to be huge. I want it to be surprising more surprising than just showing up at his surprise party.
"Okay, fine. But if he doesn't open me up with in five minute, I'm breaking out." I say.
"Deal."

So after a few minutes and after Trevor's mom texts us that they are on their way, the boys all help put me in the box and wrap it.
"Okay, (y/n) we will be right back." I hear Ricky yell.
"Text me before you break out please and I will try and hurry him alone." Kian yells as they run inside.
A few minutes go by and I hear nothing. There is no noise from inside the house or outside.
"Hello?" I whisper.
Nothing.
I pull out my phone. Luckily there is enough room in this box that I can get my phone out. The light is bright in this dark box.
Me: Kian, I want to get out of here.
Kian: Wait just a little longer. I just heard the car doors.
Me: Okay hurry! I can't breath.
A few more minutes go by. I never realized how scary being in such a small space is. It's so hot in here.
"Surprise!" I hear from inside the house.
Okay good. People will be out here soon.
A few more minutes go by.
Me: Kian where are you?
Me: Kian? I am about to break out.
Me: Okay Kian I can't stay in here any longer I'm getting out of here.
I reach up and hit the top of the box but it doesn't budge. I try it again and nothing.
Oh. My. God.
I try to stand up but the box it too small. I can't breath. I hit the sides, the top, the bottom, nothing is moving. I... I can't breath. I...I won't be able to break out. I can't breath. I'm never getting out of here.
"H-" I begin to shout but I hear the back door open.
"Right over here Trevor. We got you something." I hear Connor say.
"Oh my God is that a refrigerator?" Trevor laughs.
"Shhh don't you'll ruin the surprise!" Jc jokes. "Just open it."
I hear paper start to rip.
"Um, Trevor, you might want to hurry up." I hear Kian say. He sounds worried and he should be because I'm going to kill him for convincing me to get in this box.
Paper rips faster and the top opens. Light shines into the box and I see Trevor's face peek in.
"Oh my god. (y/n)! Get out of there!" Trevor yells and helps me out.
"I am going to kill you!" I pant to Kian.
"Sorry." He whispers.
"Surprise." I say to Trevor between deep breaths.
"Aren't you claustrophobic?" He asks worried.
"Yeah just slightly." I say sitting down. Trevor hands me his cup and I take sips of his water.
"You guys are dicks." He says to the boys.
"Sorry we didn't know." Kian says.
"Bullsh-" Trevor begins.
"Trev, they really didn't" I say, "I just wanted to make it a huge surprise for you."
He squats down by me. "Having you here is everything. You didn't need to put yourself through that for me." I frowns.
"I'm sorry." I frown.
"It's okay. I'm just glad you're okay." He smiles slightly and kisses the corner of my mouth. The guys all gauche.
"Thank you for coming." He smiles.
