𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐮𝐬 𝐁𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐫 - You're My Dream Girl.

𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝟏

You wake up to get ready for school, and check your phone and realize it's Monday. The worst day of the week. You've had a crush on Marcus ever since the 6th grade, but you never had the courage to say how you feel because you were too afraid that he might not feel the same way. You go downstairs and see your Mom making breakfast. "Morning!" "Morning Mom." You said to her. "You seem gloomy, is anything wrong?" "It's Monday, aka the worst day of the week." "This week is gonna fly by fast!" My Mom says with a smile. "If you say so." You eat your breakfast and say goodbye to your Mom and get on your bike to get to school.

After a couple of minutes, you arrive and see Marcus. "Hey y/n." he says. "Hey Marcus." "Wanna do something fun tonight?" "Like what?" I asked. "Let's watch a movie." said Marcus with a smile. You think to yourself, He has such an adorable smile. "Sure, let's watch a movie, if you don't grounded before then." you laugh. "Hahaha, very funny." says Marcus sarcastically.

Marcus rolls his eyes. "Hey Y/N! Ew, it's you Marcus." said Maxine. "Gross, it's Maxine." Marcus says to Maxine. "I heard there's a new girl." said Maxine. "Really? Finally some interesting news." I said. "Right, this school is so boring, and some of the people here too, but not you Y/N." Maxine winks at you. You let out a laugh but Marcus rolls his eyes. "What's the new girl's name?" Marcus asks. "I'm not sure, but we'll find out eventually." Maxine says as she sits down. "Whatever, peace out Loser, by the way, I'm talking to you Maxine, not you Y/N."Marcus salutes and winks at you. "Oh thank gosh he's gone, I couldn't handle Marcus anymore." Maxine says. "But, I think you could handle him, wink wink." "Did you really just say wink wink?" you said. "Oh my Gosh! I spot the new girl. Come with me Y/N." "But I need to use the bathroom first." Maxine says. Before you can say anything she grabs your wrists. You wait outside the girl's bathroom instead of going in there with Maxine because you wanted to wait for Marcus to walk you to class. But instead you see that Marcus is already there with the new girl.

You can kind of hear their conversation. "You're new right? Just moved in across the street?" says Marcus. The new girl looks at Marcus' shirts and says "It's Monday." Marcus scoffs and says "What kind of cultural wasteland are you from?" "You never heard of the band Wednesday?" The new girl looks at Marcus in shock and immediately says "Uh, yeah I have, they have that one song." she says. "No they don't, they don't exist." "I just made them up, grabbed the first shirt I saw this morning." Marcus says to her. "Whatever." she says. Maxine says "Are you eavesdropping on their conversation?" "Oh my God Maxine you scared me!!" "Oo, someone's jelly." "Cmon let's go up to then." "Okay." you said. "Marcus, be gone." Maxine says to the new girl. Marcus scoffs and salutes and walks away.

"Marcus is such an asshole." Maxine says. "Ugh, I know right." the new girl says. "He's my twin brother." "Oh I'm sorry-" "No no, it's okay, You're lucky that you don't live with him." "I'm Maxine, and this pretty gal next to me is Y/N." "I'm Ginny." she looks at me up and down with a kind of rude look on her face. "It's nice to meet you." I say. "Uh, yeah. I gotta get to my next class. Cya Maxine, and Y/N." Ginny says. "Cya." I said to her, but she already walked away. "She seems nice." Maxine says. "Yeah..." I said. "Got any plans tonight?" Maxine says. "Yeah, I'm going over to your place to watch a movie with Marcus." "Okay, you two crazy kids have fun, but not too much fun." Maxine winks. The bell rings and it's time for class. "Cya Y/N!" Maxine says.

The school day went by fast and I got on my bike to go home and get ready to go to Marcus'/Maxine's place. I knocked on the door and Maxine answered. "Hey!!" she hugs me. "Come on in, by the way I have another guest over." she says. I walk up the stairs and spot Ginny sitting on Maxine's bed, I just pass by and go into Marcus room, and sat down on his bed. I wait forever and he finally shows up. "Oh- I forgot we had plans tonight..." "Whatever, it's fine. Cya at school." Marcus grabs your wrist before you can leave. "No, it's not fine. Stay here for a little while." "Um, Marcus I have a curfew you know." "Sometimes it's okay to break a few rules once in a while." Marcus says.
